The rear-facing camera isn’t quite so sharp, but still records at a perfectly respectable 1920 x 1080, also known as 1080p or Full HD. As for the camera I am of the opinion that it is worth 5 stars for the quality of construction, image quality and ease of use, both in the App and directly on touch screen. I had a very old dashcam previously and only front viewing and had an accident from the rear a few years ago, so for me this facility is a superb addition. In addition to the front-facing camera capturing the road ahead, this dash camera features a rear-facing camera that records what happens behind your vehicle. In this day and age and with so many insurance scams going on this is a product you definitely need to ensure you have everything you need filmed and ready to send to insurance company in the event of an accident.

The Road Angel Halo Pro doesn’t look like a remarkable dash cam at first glance, but it recorded more usable detail than most other examples I’ve tested – even range-topping 4K cams. While that's true of all the smart dashcams I've tested, it's still tricky to get right in the Halo Ultra. This gives the dash cam a constant supply of power from your car’s 12-volt battery, allowing it to record in a time-lapse mode while parked, then jump into life and start recording video when a collision is detected. I think the only way of getting better video quality at this time is to hardwire from the camera to the monitor. There are other features that I haven't gone into at all, but because of the 4K recording quality - I'd say that even without those, you can't compare this dashcam to any other model unless that's also recording at a minimum resolution of 4K!
Then the thought came to mind, if I am willing to cut another hole through the hull, why not just cut 2 holes in the pantry and go back to plan “A”. It features 24-hour recording, a 4K image sensor, 5GHZ WiFi, 64GB of rolling storage, a companion app, and a driver-assistance system. I have no idea why this happens, but it’s acknowledged as being by design in the documentation for the Halo Pro.
