Each ibuprofen tablet or capsule contains 200mg, 400mg or 600mg of ibuprofen. Slow-release tablets and capsules contain 200mg, 300mg or 800mg of ibuprofen. Careful consideration should also be exercised before initiating long-term treatment of patients with risk factors for cardiovascular events (e.g. hypertension, hyperlipidaemia, diabetes mellitus, smoking), particularly if high doses of ibuprofen (2400 mg/day) are required. People who suffer from persistent headaches. Taking a painkiller for headaches or migraines too often or for too long can actually make the headaches worse. Children and Adolescents between 12 and 18 years: Take one or two capsules, up to three times a day as required.
