About this deal

One of the first signs of a transformed life is a desire for God’s Word. As it says in 1 Peter 2:2 (NKJV), “As newborn babes, desire the pure milk of the word, that you may grow thereby.” When we are born again, we hunger for the Word of God because it is our spiritual food that sustains us and gives us strength to live for Him. The Bible is not just a book of stories or rules; it is the living and active Word of God that transforms us from the inside out (Hebrews 4:12). If youwant to change your life, learn to master your fears so they can’t control you any longer. Whether it’s a fear of failure, loneliness, or the unknown, it can stop you from living your life to the fullest. We know when our fears are controlling our lives because we feel discontent and unfulfilled. It’s the most profound stage of coherence and harmony with who you are as an eternal spiritual being. At this stage, you are aware of your eternality and your connection with life. Michael calls it a state of mastery, a state of being.

When you raise your level of spiritual fitness and facilitate your spiritual growth, you will excel in life as a human being and a spiritual being while creating a positive influence on humanity and our collective consciousness. — Jeffrey Allen, trainer of Mindvalley’s Duality Quest True regeneration comes when our lives have been changed, but this starts when we see Christ as He really is and trust that He is the son of God. The first essential elements of a transformed life begin with:

Having a desire for God’s Word means that we prioritize time in the Bible. We read it, study it, and meditate on it. We allow it to speak to our hearts and transform our minds. As we spend time in the Word, we begin to see God for who He truly is, and our love for Him grows. 2. A Heart of Worship In the first part of this book, we saw that God is light [truth] and that we must walk in the light to have life. In this last part of the book, John is laying out what it means for God to be “Life” to us. In the middle of the book, John has spoken a lot about love and obedience, but now he is going to combine the idea of faith and its necessity in our life. Don’t compartmentalize the Christian faith. As we dive into the passage this morning you need to realize that, new birth, faith in Christ, and loving people are all related. And this is the testimony, that God gave us eternal life, and this life is in his Son. [12] Whoever has the Son has life; whoever does not have the Son of God does not have life.

Let us pray for the grace to live a transformed life and to allow the Holy Spirit to work in us. May we desire God’s Word, worship Him with all our hearts, love others as He loves us, renew our minds with His truth, obey His Word, forgive as we have been forgiven, and serve with humility and kindness. May our lives be a reflection of Christ, and may we be a witness to the world of His love and grace. Let us not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of our minds, so that we may know and do the good, acceptable, and perfect will of God. So Paul’s point (in 4:20-21) is that the changed life stems from the transformation that God works in us through the gospel. When we meet Jesus Christ personally through faith, we are changed people! But, how does the process continue? Paul goes on (4:22-24) to explain these changes with three infinitives (in Greek): “lay aside”; “be renewed”; and, “put on.” We have the car seats all in our minivan and we are getting used to 4 kids. I don’t know if you’ve bought car seat lately, but if not let me tell you: this is no small undertaking. There are all sorts of rules, regulations, specs and procedures you must follow. Point: though we love our kid, love is not enough. The same is true with our relationship with God, love is not enough—we need laws/boundaries to help us love God and love others.

To “learn Christ” is an unusual phrase that occurs no where else. Paul does not say, “you did not learn about Christ,” but rather, “you did not learn Christ in this way.” This way refers to the way of unbelievers that he has just described. This is a very powerful stage where you bring things into manifestation, according to Michael. 3. Channeler consciousness: through me You can also remove things that lead to bad behaviors to stop yourself from slipping into bad habits. For instance, if you're trying to improve your diet and fitness, you could remove all unhealthy food from your home.

The Approach to the Inmost Cave: This is when you take a leap of faith and keep going into the unknown. According to Ken Wilber, the author of integral theory and trainer of Mindvalley’s Integral Life Quest, the ultimate goal of human transformation is reaching the highest state of consciousness. It’s also known as enlightenment, awakening, satori, metamorphosis, moksha, and the Great Liberation. So, to be “taught in Him,” means to be taught from the standpoint of this new relationship with Christ that entails this new position in Christ. Before, you stood outside, not understanding the things of God. But now, because of God’s mercy and kindness toward you in Christ, you are “in Him” for time and eternity. To be taught in Him is a lifelong process that begins at the moment of salvation, but never ends. Since Christ is the center of all of Scripture, to be taught in Him is to grow to know the glory of Christ in His person, His offices, and His work on our behalf. Someday when we see Him as He is, we will be instantly changed to be like Him (1 John 3:2). Meanwhile, we must engage in the process of being taught in Him. In a moment of enlightenment, a friend of mine said, "Oh my God – if I want to change my life, I have to change my life."

In short, personal transformation can be internal or external — when you transform your inner world or change things outside yourself. Vishen, founder of Mindvalley, speaking at A-Fest, Mexico, 2016 Types of Personal Transformation Note several things about this new man. First, while Paul is a p plying it individually here, it also has a corporate aspect. He used the phrase, “new man,” in 2:15 to describe the church as the new creation of Jew and Gentile in Christ. Whereas the old man lived for self, the new man considers others ahead of self. Whereas the old man was full of racial prejudice and pride, the new man erases those distinctions and views others in the body equally as brothers in Christ. This corporate aspect of the new man implies that if you are not involved with a local church, where you are being built together with other believers, then you do not understand a major part of the new way in which you are supposed to live. We don’t all have dramatic conversion, as the apostle Paul did. Many of us that were raised in Christian homes may not know exactly when we came to faith in Christ. But no matter what our experience of conversion, we ought to know that God has changed our hearts. Formerly, we did not know Christ, but now we do, however imperfectly. Formerly, even if we maintained an outward veneer of virtue, we lived for self. Now, we live for Christ, to know Him and serve Him. Formerly, we were being corrupted by the evil desires of sin that deceived us into thinking that they would bring fulfillment. Now, we are new creatures in Christ, living for righteousness and holiness, which come from the truth that is in Jesus.
