My phone (iPhone 6) is connected via bluetooth to the car for calls, and via bluetooth to the Tune2Air for streaming.

Frustratingly, cars of this age were born into the crossover of Bluetooth technology so some models will have Bluetooth audio streaming, while many more others don’t. Power button on the console mutes the car stereo and pauses audio on the phone as you would expect. Example: navigation using the phone and a phone comes in - I NEED to stop the music but I cannot. Right now, all I can do is turn down the volume but that WILL also turn down the navigation AND call volume.Old thread :-) Then, while listen to the radio station or Sirius, I hit my media button activating the Tune2Air and then press play. It sounds fine. I am used to the sound from Sirius and I would say it is about the same quality. I was expecting worse so I guess I am satisfied.

I’m not sure about you, but music is a huge part of driving for me. I love nothing more than the combination of a great car, a great roadand a great playlist! They rely on the availability of a free FM channel which is notguaranteed and the quality that they stream across is garbage. Please avoid these – genuinely you would be better just listening to the radio (or a CD, remember those?!) Which Bluetooth kit should I buy for my E46 BMW 3 Series? Another feature I looked for was compatability with music streaming services– I use Spotifyalmost exclusively for music so it was essential anyretrofit kit would be compatible with it. I like how small the thing is. It fits very easily in my console and leaves lots of room. I'm considering mounting it to the underside of the armrest with velcro or something to keep it even more out of the way. and The re connection of Bluetooth works great as well. As soon as I get in the car, without any interaction, my iPhone connects to both the WMA3000B and the on board BMW phone connection.

Confusingly many will have Bluetooth hands free functionality(mine has this) but without the kit to enable audio streaming. Can I retrofit Bluetooth audio streaming to my E87 BMW 1 Series? Whenever I change my car I set about ensuringthat I can stream my music playlists (alright, I really want the podcasts!) from Spotify through the stereo. As you have probably noticed by now I have a preference to keep the interior as OEM as possible– including retaining steering wheeland headunit controls!E46 3 series Petrol Engines: 316i, 318i, 320i, 323i, 325i, 328ci, 330ci, 330i, M3 (including M3 CS) and M3 CSL As I said – the clear winner is the Tune2Air for most people. I’ve used both, I like both, but if I have the option in future I will continue to install Tune2Air whenever possible. How to install your adapter in less than 2 minutes(!)

I raked around for quite a while to find the best solution– a few of the features that were important to me were:Audi-A2DP, Mercedes-A2DP, VW-A2DP, Airplay, MMI, AMI, Media Interface, MDI, wireless, Bluetooth, music It also works across all body styles – so saloon (or sedan to some!), coupe, convertible and touring (or estate to others!) Retain the OEM hands free voice call functionality– I didn’t want to add additional wiring and microphones to the car so I wanted to keep the original hands free system in place. This has the bonus of not requiring the car to be stripped to pieces when installing! Wireless connection with Apple device via special Bluetooth technology with automatic reconnection.
