The most egregious problem plaguing the Baldur’s Gate series on Switch is that the game was designed to be used with a mouse and keyboard and the translation to a controller is an utter failure.

This is also when you will be using the incredibly powerful pause function, so you can plan your actions with the utmost accuracy. The game launched in Early Access in 2020, but the full release finally dropped on PC in August 2023 to rave reviews. Despite some in-game glitches that still persist, the Xbox 360 version of Fallout: New Vegas on Xbox Game Pass is just as enthralling of a role-playing experience as it was nearly 13 years ago. Map your frontliners, your range, your stealth units, whatever you want and easily switch between them at the push of a button.This is a shame as having BG2 so portable is a dream, as the Switch is smaller and lighter to carry around than an iPad or laptop. Interlocking plots, schemes, subterfuge and betrayal surround the Act and by the time you get there (maybe 30 hours or so), you, and your character, are ready.

Whilst the Enhanced Edition made some, in my opinion, worthwhile changes, it is a shame that Beamdog didn’t go that extra mile.
