Extend your low end — The T10S is a powerful yet compact active subwoofer, designed to extend the bass response and give a clearer picture into the low frequencies you might miss. The T10S is equipped with a 10˝ woofer positioned towards the floor (down-firing) and suitably spaced from it by means of four rubber feet whose height is calculated in the design phase (affects the desired response). I don't know how gimmicky the speaker cone placement is, but a big problem is that it won't allow you to use the ISOsub200. The subwoofer amplifies a total of 130 watts, which is a lot and more than enough for the average studio. There are no flimsy or loose parts, and nothing rattles no matter how hard the sub is pushed during operation. ADAM suggest having the front of the cabinet in line with the front of the main speakers, but in my experience it may be necessary to move the sub off-centre to provide the most even-sounding result. I strongly recommend that you get some acoustic foam panels and some corner bass traps to deaden the acoustics in the room (see my other reviews). My Apt Studio set up obviously is an added bonus but at 1k investment I really no one can argue this wasn't a wise investment. All the controls and connectors are located on the flush steel rear panel, and these include stereo inputs and outputs on both balanced XLRs and unbalanced RCA phonos (but not jacks).

I high-passed the monitors at 80Hz, which freed them up and noticeably increased their clarity in the midrange.
