We tried to find the limit, but we're not sure there is one — we managed to feed one critter more than ten times, so go wild! Each critter species has a number of color variants, but species area and favorite food are usually the same across all colors of a critter. Different colors appear on different days, so filling in the critter collection will take some time while waiting for each color to appear. The scritter adds some much needed life to the sculk growths. While silence is part of the identity of the biome, there needs to be some sort of interesting disturbance there. Walking around very slowly while holding shift through a lifeless tunnel just isn't going to be that much fine. Having the occasional scritter makes things more interesting.

Fullscreen/windowed toggle is not (yet) supported on WebGL or Mac.

Giving a critter a food that it likes will cause the critter to give you a present in return. So far, for us, this has been either things like Dream Shards or Motifs, or in some rare cases, the Foxes give us Iron Ingots.You'll have to feed them. You can feed them either a food that they like, or a food that they love, but either way, the chance of them becoming your companion is somewhat random.
