Design-wise, the coffee cup is slight, meaning it slots easily into my rucksack without taking up too much room. Our favourite feature is the single-touch open-and-close lid, which makes it super easy to open the lid and drink with one hand when you're on-the-go. A lover of the chilly bottle , myself and my daughter both were gifted your new coffee cups this Xmas. Every time I use this I am asked where I got it from it doesn't look like a typical travel mug so I'm sometimes asked what it is as well. Namely, they keep your coffee hot for hours, rather than forcing you to drink it within a few minutes.
The latter, as you can probably guess, tends to be cheaper – and there’s an argument that they’re easier to drink from, because the coffee doesn’t stay boiling hot. As an espresso drinker, there’s not much point in getting one of these, as my coffee tends to disappear within two sips and fits perfectly in a much smaller and lighter cup. That said, Lululemon is a prestigious fitness brand which I imagine many would be proud to show off. I was pretty sceptical, given the aforementioned marketing campaign but I was shocked by how well it worked.Sho advises that the Straw Lid is not 100 per cent leak proof, though I haven’t found that to be an issue. Binchotan Charcoal (also used in high-end barbecuing) not only filters out impurities like chemicals and metals but also imparts healthy minerals like potassium. It's leak-proof, looks chic, is easy to clean in the dishwasher and holds a hefty amount of flat white.
Disappointingly, I found mine kept leaking out from around the side, resulting in tea trickling over my hand every time I used it. The Series 2 is an upgraded version of Chilly’s Original Water Bottle and has a few new features that set it apart from the first iteration, which we’ll get into below. We’ve spent months trying reusable coffee cups (some of which double as reusable water bottles) to find the best. For this, the mugs have been rated in a few categories - aesthetics, is it leak proof, dishwasher and microwave safe, how long the coffee stays warm, how easy it is to clean, if it fits in a standard car cup holder, and any additional features. We wouldn’t recommend keeping water in your bottles any longer than that as it can start to take on a stale taste.I am quite the hot drink obsessive, so testing these reusable coffee cups was nothing short of a joy. It’s also worth choosing a durable material like stainless steel or ceramic with good insulation and a leak-proof lid if you’ll be on the go.
The series one seems far better for longevity and has stayed looking in pristine condition for years. No issues so far with leaking or the collar unscrewing (no need to over tighten the collar to the lid).The brand is known for bringing bright colour palettes to cookware and that manifests in the choice of lids available on its travel mug. With the sale of each Ocean Bottle, 1,000 plastic bottles are collected before they reach the ocean. If you want to use it for hot drinks as well, opt for a stainless steel insulated bottle like the Yeti Rambler. The fact you can block the drinking hole means it also won’t leak when you do stash it in your briefcase. The lid on the series 1 Chilly’s cup will prevent major spills, but we can’t expect zero leaks as there is a sip hole opening.
