Your battery comes to you pre-conditioned ready to install out of the box. You don't have to add acid, however due to storage variations in the supply chain you should always put the battery on an AGM type charger prior to fitting. We recommend one of our chargers as they are all suited for AGM batteries, this will ensure your battery is kept in the fully charged state it was designed for. We highly suggest using the MotoBatt Equivalent Vehicle Selector to better match the correct motorcycle battery. I’ve had one of these on a bike for a few years. Can’t really comment on quality other than what’s visible as bike sat on a charger a lot and not many miles. I bought the same as the old one “looked” like quality and the specs (capacity and cranking amps) supposedly better than other options. Use this form to register your battery within 21 days for extending your 12 month warranty to two years and should you ever need to make a claim please use the same form. Charging the Motobatt MBTX12UThey make a big thing of the quadflex terminals and instructions and datasheet show supply of two terminals, four domed hex bolts and a hex key. That’s not what you receive. They’ve changed the terminals to a thinner, cheaper design. You can still attach on the top or front, but no longer on the side of the terminal. The bolts are now ordinary ones with nuts…..and they only supply 2 so the other two terminals are useless until you buy more nuts and bolts. The old bolts can’t be reused. Every Premium MotoBatt QuadFlex battery comes with a full 2 year replacement warranty. Yuasa, Scorpion, Power Max and most every other manufacturer only offer a 6 month to 1 year warranty.
