Kilwinning Segdoune Gala. This event is being held on Main Street, Kilwinning on Sunday, May 7 (12-4pm). This event aims to bring the full community to come together and celebrate the King’s Coronation and the Crowning of the Kilwinning Segdoune Royal. Oldham Town will host one of the UK’s big screens so that communities can gather to watch the event together. The screen will be located in Parliament Square, Oldham and will broadcast the Coronation Ceremony live and celebrate together in this free public event. Over in Trafford, the Coronation ceremony will be shown on screens set up in the Sale Waterside arts centre, with access from 10.30am to the Robert Bolt Theatre for an 11am start.

On Friday, May 5, Onthank ECC welcome all children to join in with the celebrations by wearing red, white and blue clothing or party clothing. The plan (weather depending) is to have a perimeter walk for all the children to show off their crowns and flags that they will be making that week as part of the celebrations.Don't forget to let the paint dry fully before letting your child go off to play or touch their face. You can speed up the drying time with a hairdryer on the coolest setting. Extra tips: Carnaby Street is celebrating with a series of new installations, including a coronation arch, giant crown and a lightbulb art exhibit. On Monday 8 May, it’s the Big Help Out. The volunteer group, Friends of Lincoln Castle, will be showcasing their volunteering opportunities and giving visitors the chance to ‘try before they apply’. Located just outside King’s Lynn, Bawsey Country Park covers over 180 acres of lush woodland and sparkling lakes, and will be home to family-friendly games, and hot and cold refreshments to celebrate the coronation. Manchester Cathedral will also be showing a live screening of the Coronation of King Charles III, so you can watch this historic event surrounded by the grandeur and beauty of this grade I listed church. It will be like you’re at Westminster Abbey yourself. The Dean of Manchester is inviting the local community to come together and watch the action live including the build-up, the Coronation ceremony and the King’s Procession. Entry is free and doors will be open from 9:30am after morning prayer.Usk’s main street will be decorated with coronation bunting and closed to traffic all day, with bands, crown-making workshops and royal fancy dress.
