About this deal

Acolytes and Tzaangors were also available in the game Silver Tower (of the Warhammer Quest series) so it’s possible to find multiple guides online. Once you have a foundation of where you want your Tzeentch list to go, start experimenting. Whether you choose to focus on daemons or chaos your units likely won’t change as you only have a handful of choices for battlelines. They all serve specific roles and you need them to succeed with Tzeentch. Your “other” category you have more room to flex out on but the Tzaangor Enlightened for Mortals and Flamers for Daemons will remain very useful to you. Bestigors have two wounds – They’ve always been great, and now they’re even better. They hit harder and respond to your enemy’s use of Command Abilities near them. They did go up in points but in this Goat’s opinion it’s all worth it. They match nicely with a Beastlord nearby for extra shenanigans. Introduced in the new season of Warcry, Reactions are things that can be done in certain circumstances, but always during the enemy turn. They cost one action, so they can be used only by fighters that have not activated yet or are waiting. There are 3 universal reactions and one specific to each warband: This spell is all about shutting down enemy commands. Rally and Inspiring Presence can’t be used within 6” of one of the three pieces of the spell (it used to be 12”). If an enemy model issues a command within 6” of the spell on a 5+ the command is not received and the command point is lost. We have ways to mess around with enemy commands in this book, so this adds to it. It no longer gets removed if enemies come near, which makes it much better. Doomblast Dirgehorn

I painted the armor plates with Sotek Green, then washed it with Drakenhof Nightshade. At this step I also painted the metal bits with Leadbelcher. I’ll wash the weapons with Nuln Oil and the scale mail tabard I wanted to be brighter and look more like part of the armor, so I washed it with a Guilliman Blue gloss. They don’t make this anymore, but you can likely replicate the effect by mixing Macragge Blue or the deep blue Contrast Paint with a lot of Lahmian Medium or water. Finish the model by painting the base to complement the Tzaangor Enlightened’s appearance. You can use various techniques, such as dry brushing brown and applying static grass, to create a realistic and immersive base. Get creative here and don’t worry about making mistakes with greens and blues when you paint it, as they will add to the otherworldly look. Guided by the Future requires a Triple because it does not have any range limitations and up to 8/11 damage on a 20” range is indeed quite powerful. Tzaangor Shamans are the most exalted of their mutated kind. They are oracles and prophets, and they preach to their ilk atop flying Discs of Tzeentch. Their psychic mastery is born not of endless study, but of singular devotion to their god, and is unleashed upon their foes amidst ritual chants in the fathomless language of the Tzaangors.

I love the idea of making this huge thing a Priest, and I like that it hits easier with the artillery, but I just don’t know if it’s worth the 68% points increase here, especially with the range reduction that then puts you in threat range of a lot of stuff. JabberslytheTzeentch sits at the centre of the Crystal Labyrinth, an ever-changing fortress impossible to understand by a mortal mind.

The much-maligned Cygor gets a buff in the Quakefray, a new Greatfray for this Battletome. Cygors become Priests, the only Priest that BoC have access to. Their prayer does mortal wounds to objective holding units and makes it harder for them to hold said objective. While the BoC model line is rather aged, they’re well loved and look great on the table in huge groups. The line itself is extremely varied – you can have goat line infantry guys, big bullgor guys, or action figure sized dragon ogors, plus a huge number of monsters. No two BoC lists are going to look alike. Top 5 Things About the Tome In exchange, units of TZAANGOR – as well as CHAOS SPAWN and your psychic leaders – receive the Touched by Tzeentch rule. Phasing in and out of reality as they bound towards their foes, they receive a 5+ invulnerable save along with the ability to shrug off mortal wounds on a roll of a 5+. In our How to Paint Everything series, we take a look at different armies of the Warhammer universe, examine their history and heraldry, and look at several different methods for painting them. In this week’s article, we’re looking at the twisted bestial followers of Tzeentch, Tzaangors. Who (or What) are Tzaangors?

Who (or What) are Tzaangors?

The origins of Tzaangors are as varied as their appearance. They arise where Tzeentch wills it, and are brought into being by his blessed transmutations. Some are the product of grim experiments performed on the slaves taken to the Planet of the Sorcerers. Which one to use depends on personal preference, but a good mix allows to get the brute strength of Tzaangors (Mutants in first line) and the decent range of the Acolytes (keeping a Vulcarch in consideration for his ability). Pros and Cons of the Tzeentch Arcanites Warband Tzeentch Arcanite warbands called Covens have been occupying abandoned towers in the despoiled territory to perform their dark experiments and influence the warring warbands pitting them against each other. Long limbs flex with corded muscle, and thorny quill-like protrusions grow across their chests and shoulders. Most Tzaangors resemble some sort of amalgam of man, beast and bird, although some are even more aberrant in shape, with heads that are split down the middle or bodies rent with fluctuating clefts.
