I bought this as a Christmas present for my nephew because at 2 years old, he hasn't shown much interest in books (even for the pictures), but responds to anything noisy! Axel’s artwork is exhibited internationally; he has illustrated for many charities and designed the Royal Mail Christmas stamps in 2012. I was a little disappointed as it only makes noises of the animals when the music notes are pushed I find it hard to push never mind a four year old. The sounds themselves are not the most exciting (fox sniffing, owl hooting, tummy rumbling) but they make the story a bit more engaging.

We havwe been receiving our storybook subscription for around 18 months and I can't see us stopping anytime soon.You just can't *not* love the story of the Gruffalo with its delicious rhymes and sly central character.

I felt they enhanced the story quite nicely, although a lot of people seem to be saying they found it distracting.
