About this deal

While it doesn’t have an official G-SYNC Compatible certification by NVIDIA, VRR works without issues with compatible GeForce GPU cards over DisplayPort, whereas FreeSync works over both DP and HDMI. For pixel response time speedand input lagtesting, we’re using OSRTT. We’re also using Blur Buster’s UFO ghosting test with 960 Pixels Per Sec, shutter speed set to 1/4 of the refresh rate with fixed focus, ISO and color temperature (6500K). Before the tests, the monitor was calibrated and warmed up. This feature will allow you to customize crosshairs that helps improve your aim in the shooting game.

Finally, you also get an excellent feature set, design quality and connectivity options for the price. Specifications Screen Size High resolution and fast refresh rate, giving you the detailed display quality and fluid gaming experience! Large 1440p monitors aren’t very sharp, but you still get the extra pixels to make images crisper with better details. Visibility and legibility are better with a monitor like this, so it works great for reading and browsing and easy to spot small objects like snipers peeking in the distance in games. Note that you will need a potent GPU for this monitor, although midrange cards are now more powerful and capable. Ergonomics Information about the ergonomic functions - height adjustment, swivel angles, tilt angles, etc. VESA mount We bought and tested the HP X27q, which is a similar budget gaming monitor. We added a few relevant comparisons to this review.Dimensions, weight and color Information about the dimensions and the weight of the specific model with and without stand as well as the colors, in which it is offered to the market. Width The Gigabyte M32QC is compatible with both FreeSync and G-Sync so you don’t have to worry about stuttering and tearing. It’s nice to have VRR for both GPU brands since the market is crazy right now, so getting a specific card can be difficult. Input lag sits at 5ms at 170Hz, so there is no need to worry about delays while gaming. Thoughts on the Gigabyte M32QC With 3 sizes (small, medium and large) and 4 ratios (1.5x, 2.0x, 3.0x and 4.0x) to adjust, Eagle Eye truly equips you with the finest weapon to beat the enemies! Having hard time aiming at the target? GIGABYTE’s eagle eye is the answer to your question!

The Gigabyte M32QC has five response time overdrive modes: Off, Picture Quality, Balance, Speed and Smart OD. Information about whether there is a possibility for wall mounting according to the VESA Mounting Interface Standard (MIS). The Gigabyte M32Q has an outstanding response time at the maximum refresh rate of 170Hz. At our recommended Overdrive setting, 'Picture Quality', there's no overshoot and very little blur behind fast-moving objects. The 'Balance' mode is extremely similar, so you should choose whichever one looks best to you. It has a slightly faster rise/fall time but a bit more overshoot. This results in slightly less blur behind fast-moving objects, but you might see some overshoot artifacts instead, also known as inverse ghosting. As with most monitors, the highest setting, 'Speed' in this case, is practically unusable. Next, the Gigabyte M32QC supports variable refresh rate with AMD FreeSync Premium Pro certification and a 48-170Hz dynamic range for tear-free gameplay. The Gigabyte M32QC is a new variant that combines the VA panel of its predecessor and the extra functionality of its M-series counterpart. This model has an upgraded panel and USB-C connectivity, along with KVM, enhancing its suitability for productivity. Let’s see if the Gigabyte M32QC brings considerable improvements to the table or if its cheaper predecessors are better buys. Gigabyte M32QC SpecificationsApproximate height of the display. If the manufacturer does not provide such information, the height is calculated from the diagonal and the aspect ratio. Information about whether the stand can be dismounted. Usually, this is required for wall mounting. Size class of the display as declared by the manufacturer. Often this is the rounded value of the actual size of the diagonal in inches.

Information about the maximum horizontal viewing angle, within which the image on the screen is of acceptable quality. The Gigabyte M32QC includes essentials like DisplayPort 1.2, two HDMI 2.0 ports, and USB 3.0 slots, but this variant gets USB-C to maximize its KVM feature. The connector supports DP Alt Mode, but it can only provide up to 18 Watts of power. It’s only enough for mobile devices, so you will still need to use your laptop’s charger if you want to connect it with this monitor. The ratio between the horizontal and the vertical side of the display. Some of the standard and widely used aspect ratios are 4:3, 5:4, 16:9 and 16:10. As expected from a budget VA panel gaming monitor, the rise time (pixel transitions from dark to bright shades) is slow, resulting in smearing of fast-moving objects in dark scenes. Some gamers are sensitive to this, others aren’t bothered by it, so it comes down to your personal tolerance for this visual artifact.

The most widely used panels are those with 6, 8, and 10 bits for each of the RGB components of the pixel. They provide 18-, 24-, and 30-bit color, respectively.

The factory calibration is decent for a gaming display, but due to the low gamma, the image will be a bit brighter than intended, while the high color temperature has a slight cold/bluish tint to whitepoint. The Gigabyte M32QC monitor also features Senseye Demo (splits the screen and compares it to the Standard mode) and DCR (dynamic contrast ratio, automatically increases brightness with bright scenes and decreases it with dark scenes, we recommend leaving it disabled). The Gigabyte M32Q has an outstanding response time at 60Hz. We still recommend the 'Picture Quality' Overdrive setting, as it delivers the best response time with the least amount of overshoot, but there's a bigger difference between 'Picture Quality' and 'Balance' this time. Unlike at the max refresh rate, there's significantly more overshoot in the 'Balance' mode at 60Hz, and the total response time is significantly slower. Again, 'Speed' is terrible and shouldn't be used. The Gigabyte M32QC is an excellent choice if you want a value monitor that works well with both gaming and productivity. Its high-contrast VA panel offers superb color performance and smooth visuals that will work great for games and movies. It has USB-C connectivity and KVM, expanding its applicability for professional and business use where laptops like MacBook Pros are standard. Therefore, we don’t recommend using these two modes.
