About this deal

We wouldn’t suggest pouring it over your cereal, but Black Cow’s innovative vodka is indeed made from milk. We and our partners use data for Personalised ads and content, ad and content measurement, audience insights and product development. It scored well with testers, who enjoyed a hint of minerality on the nose, along with a warm mouthfeel.

Boatyard is one such brand that doesn’t bother with filtering, and as such you get a truly unique and interesting flavour. Polish vodka by a brand that blends fine rye and wheat spirits with small quantities of aged pot-still apple and plum spirits. Each was tried neat and blind, to avoid brand bias, then followed by some water to dilute and soften the alcohol and bring out the core flavours.

We love it when the underdog beats the big brands, and this small South African spirit seriously impressed our panel. It reminded testers of the brand’s gin, with a floral-led juniper note, lemon peel and black pepper. If you’re going to go for Absolut, you should make it Elyx — the brand’s most premium bottle in the range. Some of our partners may process your data as a part of their legitimate business interest without asking for consent. It’s produced in a distillery just outside of Kyiv, which is known for its black “super soil” — which they say results in a more rounded flavour profile. That's not the only stand-out feature here, push a button and the bottle lights up, illuminating that bold letter B. This is a vodka that combines over 600 years of vodka producing expertise with an upheld commitment to quality and legacy. Vodka cocktails are some of the most versatile out there, catering for everything from a boozy brunch to a post-dinner pick-me-up. Not surprisingly, Belvedere Pure makes a splendid Vesper Martini or simply sip it neat, and very cold with all kinds of Polish delicacies like smoked fish, pickles and cured meats. Thanks to quadruple distillation, Belvedere Unfiltered is smooth and creamy, with unrivalled complexity of character and depth of flavour.

The world's first super premium vodka, Belvedere represents the escalation of the polish vodka making tradition. It is distilled in the Polish city of Zyrardow using water from nearby Lake Zywiec but takes its name from the Belweder, the Polish presidential palace in Warsaw which is featured on the bottle. Smooth and creamy, it’s incredibly unique and well worth a try if you’re looking for a characterful vodka. Although it wasn’t quite as creamy as expected, this vodka retains a wonderful freshness that would suit a wet martini with a lemon twist. Fresh and sweet, those lingering grassy notes had us coming back for more, with well-integrated alcohol that’s best served straight from the freezer. Our panel of WSET-certified experts and consumers sipped 20 different vodkas neat, then diluted each with water to soften the alcohol and bring out the core flavours. Although fairly neutral, the panel enjoyed a raw almond nuttiness on the nose, that led to clean, fresh tasting pepper on the palate.
