About this deal

Both are jersey knit fabrics but while the Organic is 98% organic cotton, 2% polyester, the NCT is 60% cotton and 40% polyester*.

We love a bit of good news here at Close HQ, particularly if we can share it with the Mums and Dads who make our work so pleasurable! The Caboo is the new incarnation of the Close Baby Carrier - a two-piece organic cotton baby sling that can be used from the newborn days through to around 3 years. It's best to use from birth during the 4th trimester and will allow you to meet your baby's needs whilst allowing you to get on with your day. They also examine the carrier to see if it has choking hazards and trailing cords that could pose a risk.Given that no wrapping or tying is needed, the Close Caboo simply keeps your child close and your hands free. There are multiple upright ‘handsfree’ carrying positions from day one through to independence, including a supportive and discreet feeding position when on the go. It’s a great option for parents of low birth weight babies or twins who want a slightly more structured sling from newborn. The fabric is very soft and the product is very comfortable, I used it for 3-4 hours few weeks ago at a socially distanced garden party, it was just want I needed, Erica enjoyed meeting some friends for the first time and even had a nap on me.

Its still lovely and soft although the binding doesn't feel as great (bit like tracksuit bottom material). They mention it's comfortable for the baby and convenient for the carer, as it enables them to have free hands. Hip-Healthy Assurance: With a profound focus on child welfare, this carrier is intricately designed to uphold hip health standards, ensuring correct postural positioning and supporting the natural development of your child's hips. Whilst many families do still use their Caboo very happily for naptimes or around the house with babies up to 9-12 months, most will find that a stretchy sling like the Caboo doesn’t feel sturdy enough for walking or days out past 6 months or so. I have had several clients come with one who find it simply way too much faff and I have to agree with them!

I - In view at all times - You should always be able to see your baby's face by simpling glancing down.

Laura Bradley says: In the early days, after my baby was born, she would only sleep for long periods of time when on me, therefore by being safe and secure in the carrier it would allow me to have my hands free and do jobs whilst she sleeps comfortably. As a company, Close are constantly updating their fabrics and tweaking their design to give the best in comfort and ease of use. I found other wrap style slings really tricky to put on but the Caboo is more structured and much easier to wear. Sophistication Meets Functionality: Beyond its primary function, this carrier stands as a testament to modern parenting aesthetics, blending utility with sophistication, a hallmark of the Close Parent brand in the UK. S - Supported back - In an upright carrier a baby should be held comfortably close to the wearer so their back is supported in its natural position and their tummy and chest are against you.Your snugly newborn will love being carried in the Caboo, but once they get more aware and active they won’t appreciate the swaddled up carrying position as much. It all tucks away nicely in to a neat bag (which is also part of the carrier so no unnecessary material) It hardly takes up any room so can be transported in a baby change bag or I just keep mine at the bottom of the push chair in case my baby needs contact with me. The Caboo packs into its own drawstring bag, which unfolds into a separate fabric wrap that can be tied around your body to provide extra support.
