About this deal

I can’t remember a time when Olaplex wasn’t in my life; even as a financially struggling student, I managed to budget in my fix. So good and hard-working, it was never ever left in the communal bathroom for my housemates to steal. Apply the No.0 Intensive Bond Building Treatment slowly to dry hair, distributing evenly from root to tip. Much of the buzz also comes from its ability to protect your hair from the damage associated with harsh bleach, such as breakage and brittleness, before it happens.

I use the shampoo and conditioner for every other hair wash – as it’s a reparative treatment, you don’t need to overdo it. I then switch between my No.3 and No.8 hair masks once a week, and I’m never without the No.7 Bonding Oil to protect my hair from heat damage. When you get a cut, you usually sit with wet hair for 20 or 30 minutes. This is a great time to take advantage of the healing properties of Olaplex Bond Perfector. Instead of shampooing before a cut, ask your stylist to wet and towel dry your hair and then apply No. 2 . Without rinsing, apply a generous amount of No. 2 Bond Perfector from root to ends. Comb through thoroughly. They can be used regularly depending on the extent of hair damage, which can then be lessened once the damage has been rectified. From there, they can be used to combat future damage from heat styling,’ he explains.Start by using the No.3 mask once a week and the shampoo and conditioner every other hair wash. You can then amplify their efficacy by using the No.7 Bonding Oil as a post-wash styling treatment. New and revolutionary, Olaplex is an upgrade service for hair colouring. This simple three-step process includes a patented active ingredient that works on a molecular level to seek out broken bonds in the hair that are caused by chemical, thermal, and mechanical damage. You can use Olaplex to restore compromised hair, or add it to another service to provide the ultimate breakage insurance. Stay loyal to this system and you'll soon see the difference. Trust me, when it comes to Olaplex, you can believe the hype. Now stepping into the at-home arena, No.0 is a primer that should be applied from roots to ends before slathering on the No.3 mask. This isn’t a necessary step in the Olaplex system but is an additional one you can take to maximise its benefits. All Olaplex products will restore your hair’s bonds and shine, and afro hair is easily the best texture to highlight these qualities. One of the most beautiful and natural textures, it’s also one of the most difficult to maintain. This

Yes! We love a before and after here at Sally Beauty, especially when your results are more than visible. With scientifically proven results of 68% more repair & 3x stronger hair* (*When used as a two-part system in just one use) using No.5: Restore, repair and hydrate hair—without excess weight—with the Bond Maintenance Conditioner. It eliminates damaged frizz for strong, healthy hair. This also contains bis-aminopropyl diglycol dimaleate, but in a smaller quantity and in combination with a variety of conditioning agents. It is also applied in the salon and used as your post-colouring conditioner treatment. You’re probably already an Olaplex addict and add Olaplex No.1—the Bond Multiplier—into every formulation. But did you know that Olaplex No.2—the Bond Perfector—is NOT optional? And did you know you can use it beyond the three-step Olaplex system? We’re breaking down three ways you might not know you can use Olaplex No.2, so keep reading! Apply the No.3 Hair Perfector (read on to find out more!) over the hair with the No.0 Intensive Bond Building Treatment still in your hair. Comb this through and leave it to process

When should I start trying Olaplex?

There are quite a few products within the range and sometimes it's difficult to know what is right for you and your hair so we've put this simple guide together to explain what each one does. Let's start with the IN-SALON only Treatment No.1 & 2 - This concentrated first salon step rebuilds broken disulfide bonds and begins the process of preventing damage and repairing the hair. Stylists who are new to OLAPLEX and would like to try before investing in the Traveling Stylist Kit or Salon Kit No.1: The concentrated first salon step rebuilds broken disulfide bonds and begins the process of preventing damage and repairing hair.

Cleverly, it seeks out the broken bonds that may have been missed in step one and gets busy repairing them. See No.2 as a more concentrated version of No.3 (more on that to come), but not quite as punchy as No.1. Olaplex No.0 Intensive Bond Building Treatment The formulas are powered by a compound called bis-aminopropyl diglycol dimaleate (rolls off the tongue, doesn't it?) which fuses compromised bonds that have been damaged by chemicals, thermal heat, or mechanical factors like vigorous brushing. Having got my mitts on the Olaplex No.8 I decided, for a brief moment, to do exactly what I was told for my hair. I freshly shampooed, applied (a few more than) the recommended 2 pumps, swooned over the delicious scent – not strictly in the instructions but I challenge you not to do the same – and worked the product through my mid-lengths to ends with my fingers.

What does Olaplex do?

No.1 is a solution-based treatment that works to repair damaged hair. It’s a concentrated first step that hairdressers use to lessen the unwanted effects of chemical dyeing such as brittleness and breakage. It can also be added to glosses and toners. Olaplex No.2 Bond Perfector Cut the hair as normal. A haircut takes roughly 20 to 30 minutes—and during that time, Olaplex No.2 is working its magic. If you are getting your hair chemically treated, there is a chance your stylist will add Olaplex without you even knowing. You can always ask if your salon uses Olaplex when you make an appointment.

Mix 1/2 oz (15ml) No. 1 Bond Multiplier with 3 oz (90ml) water. This can be adjusted accordingly for different hair lengths. For example, if your hair is very long, 1 oz No. 1 can be mixed with 6 oz water.

Consider your personal hair history, too – if you’ve used chemical dye for years, it’ll unsurprisingly take longer to repair the damage. The verdict: Is Olaplex really worth the money?
