About this deal

I can also comment on how it glides smoothly thanks to its extra-large glide pads. I didn’t discern any lags during my testing session with the report rate going as high as 1MS and I’m impressed. The Corsair ICUE software can be user-friendly but still goes with some flows. It will provide customization from lighting to programmable buttons that will surely satisfy your needs. Corsair M65 Pro RGB Gaming Mouse Review - IGN Corsair M65 Pro RGB Gaming Mouse Review - IGN

Corsair’s mouse has a few perks on that front. The optical switches are faster, it includes a massive battery, and it comes with USB-C for charging. I love the design and feel of the M65 as well, though a lot of that comes down to hand size and how you hold your mouse.

Optimized sniper button positioning

It is time to answer the big question finally. Does the Elite surpass the Pro? Yes, it does. But is it better? Now, that will always depend on your personal preference. The M65 Elite did show improvement over the years. The build of this mouse feels solid to the hand and durable. I noted no squeaks or creaks or any misalignments. The M65 RGB Elite might be your best option for a gaming mouse out there. It’s a sturdy rodent that’s made to last, evident from its components. The shape might pose a problem for palm grippers with small hands such as myself. I had hard time reaching the buttons due to the mouse size. However, if you are really in need of a gaming gear upgrade, then I recommend the Logitech G502 Proteus Spectrum or the Razer Mamba Elite. Those might be e better fit for your hand. After all, the M65 Elite’s design simply favors claw-grippers. This can be remedied by a simple shift in the grip but it might still be uncomfortable for some. Elsewhere the supplied cable is braided, but sadly non-removable. On the underside of the device are three removable weights for fine-tuning the balance, and of course the optical sensor itself. Rated at a maximum 12,000dpi, the sensor is suitable for monitors of all resolutions, with complete customisability available in software. At this point you should be able to flip the cover of your Corsair M65 mouse about halfway off with only two cables still connecting it to the bottom. The USB interface cable and one of the RGB LED cables. Remove both of those and you can then clean/set your upper case aside. Yes, several. For high-end, wireless FPS mice, the Razer Viper Ultimate, Logitech G Pro X Superlight, and Corsair Sabre Pro Wireless are all options.

Corsair M65 Elite Review: Is It Any Better Than the M65 Pro? Corsair M65 Elite Review: Is It Any Better Than the M65 Pro?

Been using the M65 on and off for the past decade. Or maybe it's using me. We took a break and I fooled around with logitech a bit but it didn't work outStill, it’s important to recognize that the weight isn’t for everyone. Although the M65 has adjustable weight, it’s heavy regardless, just like the Logitech G502 Hero with its removeable weights. The M65 Ultra Wireless is heavier than the wired M65 Elite, too, by 13 grams (though lighter than M65 Pro by five grams). Sensor and buttons The weight makes the M65 Ultra Wireless feel like a unit, too. If you’ve used any of the past M65 iterations, you already know what I’m talking about. This is a hefty mouse that feels like it can stand up to pressure, unlike a lot of ultralight esports mice that feel like they’ll fly away if you don’t grip them tightly enough. Using your plastic pry tool on the rear of the mouse you can separate the plastics on one side and move along to the other side to un-clip the latch. No not pry from the front of the mouse! that is now you break the plastics which your mouse buttons hinge upon! Once the latch is undone the mouse should begin to separate easily for you. Don’t use force to separate the mouse as you could rip the cables from the top of the mouse to the bottom.

I cannot speak for durability as I just got it. I hope it holds up when I drop it (which will inevitably happen) and to time. Other reviewers said it was sturdy so, it probably will. This mouse is on the bulkier side compared with your conventional mouse, so if that’s not your thing or if you are my long-lost relative who also has small hands, then you should reconsider. For the weight enthusiast, this mouse will surely be appealing, as the M65 Pro is 115g with no weights and 135.5g with weights. The 2,000Hz polling rate is relevant. Moving from 1,000Hz — which is typical of wireless gaming mice — to 2,000Hz cuts down the response time to 0.5ms. From the buttons to the sensor to the polling rate, the M65 Ultra Wireless is set up to give you an advantage, no matter how small. Connectivity and battery life The location of the "sniper button" is right where your thumb would normally rest. This would present a problem, but the button does require decent actuation force, so I never found myself accidentally activating it while playing. I was able to lift the mouse just fine as well. I do like the location of the "sniper button" on the G502 a bit more, where its located just at the tip of your thumb. It totally prevents any accidental press of the button, and just felt a little more natural to me.

Once we’re in and after we remove the cables and screws we now have some left-right mouse buttons that we can salvage! The company “ZIP” cannot be found but the switches at least feel good and we did plug this mouse in prior to make sure that there are no cold connections going on. One thing to note is if you are trying to repair your middle mouse button switch it might be harder to salvage. In the picture above the middle-button switch has the dimensions which are more appropriate to repair a Corsair Naga series mouse which needs a 6mm X 6mm X 7mm design.

M65 PRO RGB FPS Gaming Mouse — Black - CORSAIR

Corsair really has outgrown their previous M65 Pro, and that is evident with the PMW3391 sensor deployed in the M65 Elite. The mouse has no inherent acceleration, Hallelujah! You can feel the difference in performance – it is raw, responsive and has pinpoint accuracy. Adjustments to the M65’s performance can be made here, with the ability to create profiles that can be saved onto the mouse, or shared as digital files. Key adjustments include changing the DPI settings, button remapping, and calibrating against the mousemat surface. Should I buy the Corsair M65 Pro RGB? And, even after removing these screws, it might take a good shake for them to actually drop out – one came out really easily, but we actually had to get a pen to pry out the other two. However, this is likely just due to it being new, and they’ll loosen up over time.I would state that the difficulty is this repair is moderate. You will remove very small cables similar to cellular phone repair. You must also have knowledge of how to use a soldering iron. DISCLAIMERS: From there, you can visit the controls menu in your game and bind whatever you want your button to do onto the P key. To additionally push this rodent I tested it by playing high-paced FPS games. Whipping out Battlefield V and PUBG I was blown away by its insanely high control speed. I faced no irregularities, spin-outs, or any glitches. Polling rate is at 1000Hz/500Hz/250Hz/125Hz, respectively. I can see no input lag with this sensor. Balance and Weight Danielle Abraham + 1 moreAs I wrote earlier, this is a right-handed only mouse, which is common in the gaming mouse world, but it's also what I'd call a palm grip only mouse due to its long and low design and the fact that you can't adjust the height of its palm rest. If you could adjust its height it would also make it suitable for so-called "claw grip" users, but out of the box they might have a tough time feeling comfortable with this mouse. I noticed that the remaining two buttons are lighter. It’s indeed a treat to use a mouse with such fabulous side buttons.
