About this deal

For some weird reason, everyone keeps looking to her for advice. She’s no expert. She doesn’t want the responsibility. Every day is a new fight for survival. A new nightmare. More danger. Finding a safe haven is a dream.

Erin flees her abusive alcoholic husband, Kevin, takes on a different identity and changes her name to Katie. She arrives in Southport, North Carolina. Finding work at a seafood restaurant, she becomes friends with her neighbor, Jo, and gets to know the town's general store owner, Alex. The first part is engaging enough, Katie is a strong character and I liked that. She also had a dark past that she's trying to ran away from. And Alex is,well, good inside out and has family on top of his priority list. From the #1 New York Times bestselling author comes a captivating love story filled with suspense and mystery.

Richard Roeper called the film "Bat. Bleep. Crazy." and asks if the filmmakers or a key character is out of her mind. Roeper expresses disbelief at the twist ending, and "how insane the whole thing is". Aside from the twist ending he would have given the film 2.5 stars, but ultimately gives it only 1.5 out of four stars. [15] Peter Bradshaw, writing for The Guardian, called Safe Haven's setting "a sugary vision of small-town America that does not correspond with the real world at any point." [16] Peter Travers of Rolling Stone gave the film zero stars out of four, and concluded his review by stating: "I hate Safe Haven. It's a terrible thing to do to your Valentine." What makes Safe Haven even more appealing than the stories of remarkable people who shaped Spitznagel’s investment worldview is that the book is so unabashedly contrarian. Spitznagel plainly disdains conventional wisdom and feels the investment business is overly populated by conventional, intensely fallacious thought. Universa is in the business of making money for its investors via rejection of what’s thought to be known. In the author’s words, “It is my business to do what other people do not and cannot do.”Interspersed between the eight Safe Haven novels, Mr. Artinian has written four novellas. Before Safe Haven: A Zombie Novella series has the stories of four individuals integral to the whole Safe Haven series. We get a closer look at the characters and their thoughts, worries, and challenges. I should start off by saying that I already knew I would love this book before actually reading it. I've been a huge Nicholas Sparks fan since high school! Happy to say I loved this and I was captivated from the very beginning. I know his writing style can be a bit difficult to get used to, and some people find it boring. I do not find it boring at all. When Katie first meets Jo, we can sense a striking similarity between their personalities, which helps them connect instantly. As the film progresses, we do not learn any valuable information about Jo’s past. This makes us wonder if, just like Katie, even Jo has a past she is running away from in search of a fresh start. The ending of the film proves this to be somewhat true. An suspenseful story about a young woman's named Katie after she arrives in a small North Carolina town struggle to find love again. Her sudden arrival raises questions about her past. Beautiful yet self-effacing, Katie seems determined to avoid forming personal ties until a series of events draws her into two reluctant relationships: One with Alex, a widowed store owner with a kind heart and two young children, and another with her plainspoken single neighbor, Jo. Despite her reservations, Katie slowly begins to let down her guard, putting down roots in the close-knit community and becoming increasingly attached to Alex and his family. But even as Katie begins to fall in love, she struggles with the dark secret that still haunts and terrifies her . . . a past that set her on a fearful, shattering journey across the country, to the sheltered oasis of Southport. With Jo's emphatic and stubborn support, Katie eventually realizes that she must choose between a life of transient safety and one of riskier rewards . . . and that in the darkest hour, love is the only true safe haven.

Katie is a strong woman. She lived with a psycho for so long. Hercourage to stay with her physically and mentally abusive husband is admirable. She tried her best to love and look after him by cooking delicious food and housekeeping. I am sure there are so many Katies that exist among us. It's undoubtly Nicholas Sparks'. I'd know even if I hadn't heard about the book and found it with covers ripped off and title and author's name missing. Nevertheless I still enjoyed this book a lot, specially the middle to end part. So turned out the guy could write something that has depth, good moral lessons and tearjerker kind of ending but is neither tragic nor boring. He should write more books like this one. Have you read this book or any other books of Nicholas Sparks? Did you like the story? Which characters do you love the most? Let me know in the comments.

Lucy Blair, an American doctor, is trying to help patients. Delivering babies, broken bones, and occasionally the normal illness like maybe, hopefully, just a simple cold. She soon meets Alex Wheatley, a widower who runs the local general store. They strike an immediate rapport and become friends. Katie also befriends her neighbor, a lonely woman named Jo. She spends some time getting acquainted with Alex’s two kids, Lexie and Josh. Alex gifts Katie a bicycle so she won’t have to walk to get herself across town. Katie sees this as a favor, and they have a small argument, but she realizes that it was a romantic gesture. Not long after this, she starts dating Alex and becomes a mother-figure to his kids.
