This is a perfectly charming and fun uplifting read with a sweet message. The writing was great and the audiobook narrator, Hillary Huber, was terrific. But it was the characters that truly won me over and I was sorry to see the book end. We get to learn Nora’s inner thoughts which is fun. Nora is a normal mom just trying to support her babies and herself. You know how it’s going to end. Monaghan takes the reader on a charming tale of finding love unexpectedly. Thank you to G.P. Rom-coms are all about the appeal of the characters, the dialogue, and the journey. Despite familiar themes, this felt fresh and new to me, and was simply delightful. I especially loved Nora’s relatability, her down-to-earth attitude, and her relationship with her kids and extended family. Well, at some parts, I truly bang Nora and Leo’s heads together! They acted a little stubborn to lose their chance for happiness! But overall , this is epic, lovable and Sooooooooo romantic to skip! Nora is a middle aged screenwriter for a romance channel. After her narcissistic husband leaves her and their two kids, she decides to write a movie about her failed marriage and sells it to Hollywood. When the filming begins on her property she gets to meet the the sexiest man alive, male lead, Leo Vance. Nora is determined to keep to the normal schedules for her children while all the crazy filming is going on at her house. As the filming is complete Leo ask if he can stay longer and Nora can't say no!!Even better, when a former “sexiest man alive” Leo Vance, the highest paid leading man in Hollywood, is cast to play the role of her ex husband, the film is destined for success! I must've read an entirely different book than everybody else. I thought I would love this one. I wanted to love it. I’m still angry at myself for not reading this amazing book before! One of the best romances and women’s fiction of the year I highly recommend you to read!
