Talk to your child about a hero from a book they have read recently, for example Rapunzel or Mulan. From your list written on Monday choose another animal and compare it to your fact file animal.Try to choose something very different for example if you chose a lion first now choose a Ladybird. To celebrate the fact that the Premier League might still award the trophy to Liverpool this season I thought we'd have a maths spelling game.

A bar model is sharing out/dividing equally from the whole number/group of objects into the 'parts' of a fraction. Quarters means we share equally into 4 groups. 1/4 means the answer is how many in 1 group. 12Brilliant Bodies ● What can your body do? Balance on one leg? Touch your nose with your tongue? There is always an allure to the possibilities of space; to imagine that what lies beyond our grasp, our imagining and those images are often better than what we have right now. Yet for all these hopes and expectations, there are stories in which individuals leave their home in search of wealth and fame only to find that the riches they longed for were to be found right where they began.

The Big BAD Pig......

One is an introduction to Nigeria geography lesson as we were studying Africa and its Nations before the holiday:

And while I loved the messages about family and friends and finding what you're looking for, at the same time, I honestly thought the ending was going to be different, and I think that's where this left me a little dissatisfied. I was curious to see where the author was going - was she going to realize her dream at the end, and travel in space? Was she going to pass away and through death, finally see the stars (was totally preparing myself for this)? Was she going to find Earth family and space friends and a way to bridge the two? The ending as it turned out just felt a bit... rushed? Forced? Heavy-handed? I don't know quite how to say it, other than it just didn't quite satisfy me after how much I enjoyed the rest of the book. It wasn't bad, just not as good as the rest. Could you planthe sequel to 'Do Not Wash This Bear' based on the end of the book from Monday's bedtime story? Unfortunately, she forgets to write the name of the animal next to the measurements, but she does remember some facts about each one. Support your child to take a look at the street and buildings around where they live. Encourage them to think about the shape of the buildings and the different heights.

Investigate how they can find 1/2 of different amounts (even numbers only to start). Explain "We write this down as 1/2 or half. The whole number is shared equally into two parts. To find half we count 1 part that is why it is 1/2" You can develop this further by looking at quarters- 4 parts counting 1 part. Create a fact file about your favourite animal. Research an animal of your choice and explore the vocabulary required to describe them. Now it’s their turn… read the stories Little Red Riding Hood, Three Little Pigs and Gingerbread Man.
