Why We Love It: This sleek design has a diagonal zipper for maximum storage ability and an entire coordinating pouch ecosystem to build with it. It goes without saying the importance of carrying one of these in the post-pandemic era. And just as importantly, you’ll need to use them both when you board the plane and arrive at your seat, and I’ll tell you why: Incase is basically a household name when it comes to organizational accessories and laptop sleeves. The Accessory Organizer is a soft and lightweight case that fits into any EDC with plenty of internal organization. Their Bionic line basically keeps the same smart design, but utilizes a yarn made from recovered ocean plastic that looks great and feels really cool. Since airline policies don’t include weight and items on a customer’s body, this made me wonder how I could carry additional stuff on my person, if my carry on was over the limit.
Thus, we will not waste time convincing you that you NEED more organization in your life. Rather we will guide you in choosing the correct pouch, organizer, or Dopp kit that fulfills your wildest OCD and EDC fantasies. Below are some of my best travel tips for surviving long-haul flights and ensuring you have a comfortable and enjoyable journey: Stay hydrated
Let’s face it, if you’re a member of the Cult-of-Bihn, you probably already have one (or multiple) of these. The HLT keeps the classic “round-ish” Bihn styling with multiple internal and external attachment points for all your bits and bobs. While it’s definitely more of a “misc” pouch than a tech-oriented one, it definitely deserves a second look for anyone needing a “do it all” solution. Of course, you can’t stop with just one pouch. This isn’t the only excellent item in Mark & Graham’s travel pouch collection, and its companion selection helped push it ahead of the competition. There’s a smaller, more traditionally structured vegan leather Fillmore, as well as a bigger alternative with an extra jewelry layer in the Dual Travel Organizer. Want a flatter style? Go for the Everyday Italian Leather Pouch. You can construct an entire matching system for an organizational dream. Water Spray— Living in Florida, I’m used to 100% humidity. So, my sinuses sometimes get irritated when we travel, especially in-flight with the recycled dry cabin air. I always carry a travel-friendly sized water spray. During a long flight, I feel like the little bit of mist is not only refreshing, but it helps me breathe easier too. Sometimes I even like to use a rose water spray for a lovely scent. Buy It: Mineral Water Facial Spray Sheet Mask— If there were ever a way to relax, discourage your seatmates from talking to you, and make sure your skin looks refreshed after a long flight, it is by using a facial sheet mask. Bold move, I know. If you’re not ready to dive right in to using a full sheet mask in public, maybe start with just the eye masks. Between the sheet mask, a cup of green tea, some jazz music, the rose water spray I mentioned above, and my kindle — I can make any plane seat feel like a spa day.

We also love Bellroy’s Desk Caddy, which sits upright on your desk and zips open to display its contents so you can easily set it up on whatever cafe table or coworking space is serving as your desk and still have all your gear within easy reach. Since its release a few years ago, the Peak Design Tech Pouch has been hailed for its modularity and expandability and is certainly one of the best tech pouches around. The accordion-style opening isn’t just functional, but also beautiful in the way that only an immaculately designed piece of kit can be. Make no mistake, this is definitely a pouch that rides on the larger side, but if you “roll deep“ with your tech, this will have a place for everything, and everything in its place. You can’t leave home without these either. I usually have my money split 50/50 between cash and in prepaid travel cards. Bring at least a couple of travel-friendly debit or credit cards so that you always have access to cash. Both sizes of Bellroy’s Tech Kit offerings have just enough external structure to provide some much-needed protection, but not enough to make them overly stiff. This high-fashion design conceals minimalist but well-thought-out organization and the two different sizes allow you to buy exactly the amount of size that you need. Again, don’t stash things like your travel money, mobile, jewelry, camera, and other valuable items in the overhead compartment. Keep them in your flight bag if possible. If you have large expensive gear in the overhead – make sure you can directly keep an eye on it whenever someone opens the compartment. Keep yourself busy The “Classic” pouch from Bellroy is honestly anything but. Offered up in a bunch of different colorways and materials, from sustainably harvested wood pulp and cotton offcuts to recycled PET bottles, this pouch has a unique look and feel unlike any other material I’ve handled. Couple this with my favorite design accessory for ANY use (magnets!) and you get a pretty solid little pouch that also looks fantastic.Why We Love It: These silicone bags stay sealed tight and can be used in so many ways, including in the oven.
