About this deal

Please check the type and record the date code, which can be found on the rating plate, located on the underside of the product. The recipe book is clearly detailed with the various sizes and at the back it gives the breakdown times of all the different programs, time for kneading, rising etc. which is very helpful that's what I found hard to figure out with the other models I have previously used. My fist loaf was soggy and tasted under baked, so I reserve praise for a later date when I have experimenting a bit. com Limited, registered in England and Wales with number 03934849, 27 Old Gloucester Street, London, WC1N 3AX, United Kingdom.

The maker beeps if you need to add extra ingredients and beeps at the end, it then goes straight into a 1 hour keep warm mode. These comments aside, it does make great loaves and in the past year, we must have bought 3~4 ready made loaves at the most. There's also a rapid bake function to cook the bread in less than one hour, although does require warm water, extra yeast and less salt. This bread machine has a convection fan to control the temperature for an even bake and a rapid bake function that can have a loaf baked and ready in under an hour. Unusual design touches include retro-ish styling, fan-assisted cooking and even an adjustable spoon.

The combination of black metal, stainless steel and glass, gives the BM450 a distinctive stylish look. The display is a difficult to see when the breadmaker is on a standard height worktop and you are somewhat short in height! The one time we tried making a cake, it did not mix very well, and I think cakes are better off being made in the conventional way.

I’ve seen squat bread makers with large footprints, which are easier to put away in a cupboard but take up more room on your kitchen worktop, and tall bread makers with small footprints, but the BM260 is compact in every direction. We do find there are lacks in the instruction/recipe booklet, which doesn't seem to have many recipes for ordinary bread (the white loaf has egg in it, and the wholemeal seeds). If I do not disperse the yeast into warm water, my bread will always, yes, always come out hard as a rock or wet in the middle of the bread. The problem of the bread pan popping out was solved by bending the clips, but with the side effect of making it quite awkward to remove. Wait till the yeast has bubbles on the surface of the water, only then you put into the breadmaker with the rest of the recipe. If you have any friends or family that own a BLEND-X PRO BLM800, type BLM80, please make them aware of this Safety Warning and ask them to contact us.

And on top of that the machine doesn't warm the ingredients enough for the dry yeast to even activate - and for the traditional alive cake yeast the program time is just too long. The basic white loaf from this model has a smooth, domed crust and even colour on both top and sides but has a slightly salty taste. I rate this above the Panasonic breadmakers, and it really does do a nice loaf of white bread in 58 minutes. For added convenience, the internal oven light and viewing window make it possible to inspect your bread-making progress.I have tried a variety of loaves and my ultimate favourite is the sundried tomato which has a little parmesan cheese that makes for a crispy and tasty crust. The machine wasn't supplied with adequate program chart of the procedures it does and at which time and for how long.
