About this deal

they birthed me, raised me, breathed life into me, drove me to school, fed me, stuck my artwork on the fridge, read me bedtime stories, sent me to college, walked me down the aisle and transformed me into the person i am today. I feel like this could definitely be and opening for a third book because I just feel like after everything Jacks has been through, and how much is readers love him.

When Evangeline wakes up, she finds the mirth stone in the magical clock at the heart of the inn, clouding the minds of everyone who enters, including hers and Jacks’s.She finds herself in a cage in Chaos’s castle, where Jacks and Chaos tell her they will let her be bitten by a vampire to heal her from her wounds. I, for one, devoured all 400 pages in a single day, sacrificing sleep and productivity so that I might see what, if any, resolution to the book’s events is provided. seeing this after the end hurts more than i ever couldve imagined i really will never be okay what happened to the happy moments ? When they get to the arch, they put in the stones without Jacks, and Evangeline touches her bloodied hand to the arch and finally slowly opens it.

She could feel the cool of his arms siding gently under her legs and carefully under her neck as he cradled her to his chest. He cries bloody tears as Chaos apologizes and, stalks away, and begs the Valor queen to revive Evangeline. It seemed really obvious that Jacks was the Archer to me I love a good book that just keeps bringing in the plot twists. For Jacks, the Prince of Hearts, betrays Evangeline in the worst possible way, she swears she will never, ever trust this Fate again no matter how much she may be drawn to him or wonder if there could be a more human. It does precisely what middle books should do: pushes the story along while also leaving the reader craving more. This glass-half-full mentality teeters on naïveté and lands her in some perilous situations, owing to her willful blindness to the faults and ill-intentions of others. A small part of me wanted more of the supporting characters, but at the same time this is truly Evangeline and Jacks’ story. Everything was fuzzy and distant, but she knew, somehow, that these arms held her closer than the hot arms ever had.
