About this deal

When I ran the 'usbhid-dump' command and pressed the buttons, the tablet continued working normally.

If you had to choose between the XP-Pen Deco 01 V2 and the Huion Inspiroy H950P, which would you choose and why? This cable fits very snugly in the port, and the port doesn’t budge at all when trying to wiggle the cable. It’s software is easy to use and can be customized to a preference level that most users will be able to find settings perfect for them.

You can find a lot of 50 USD tablets from newer companies, but the quality of XP-Pen’s drivers are miles ahead and new companies very rarely create tablet drivers that are even remotely as good as Wacom, Huion, and XP-Pen’s. Because of the tablet’s software, even say a specific handheld that used two screens but only one of which had touch input, you could map the tablet (or portion of the tablet) to control that one screen and map some of the button inputs to the buttons of the handheld. I will say that I never used any of the shortcut buttons on the tablet while working in After Effects. Additionally make sure your User-Agent is not empty and is something unique and descriptive and try again. My expectations going into this review were actually rather high because I’d only heard good things about this tablet through other reviews. There’s a single USB-C port, which you’ll use along with an in-box cable to plug into a USB port on your computer – it’s a very simple process, and you can easily plug it in and start drawing straight away (after your first set-up, of course). However, that comparison is certainly one of the things I want to explore, so I may try to get my hands on the XP-Pen Deco 01 V2 when I have more time available to me. Some aspects may improve or change over time, so it is in your best interest to concentrate on reviews which are less than 1 year old.

An example of the ideal test page is the Huion New 1060 Plus (2048) IAF test page which I included above for comparison. The IAF (Initial Activation Force) test uses a 300px linear pressure pen to show the thinnest lines possible, as well as demonstrate the IAF of the tablet. Otherwise, I would suggest saving up for one of the drawing monitors to upgrade to in the future (for example, the XP-Pen Artist 15.This is one of the few small cons of the XP-Pen driver which has been around for a fairly long time now.

This test tries to demonstrate the IAF of the tablet, and also shows the lowest possible pen pressure the tablet is capable of producing consistently. Any console or handheld that used a pointer, touch, or it’s own stylus as an input method can all be controlled using the tablet and its buttons. It’s also likely that the footprint of the device that you will be using it on is smaller than the graphics tablet itself. Overall, the XP-Pen Deco 01 has a somewhat high IAF, but is able to draw very thin lines consistently. I didn’t have any problems controlling my strokes and making both thin and thick lines was relatively easy.

There’s a lot of posts indicating problems with xp-pen’s compatibility with Krita (which is weird since it’s the biggest open source software and xp-pen has some of the cheapest stuff in the market, making it ideal for beginners and hobbyists). The good point of this pen is that you can hold the pen further down thanks to how far the grip goes before tapering off into the pen nib. No batteries are required to make the stylus work, but the tablet will only interact with a stylus from XP-PEN so if you lose it you won’t be able to interact with the tablet until you get a new one. It’s not to say that these goals can’t be achieved using a normal mouse, but I have found that it’s easier to dial them in exactly how you want it with the tablet.
