If there are exchanged cards in the middle you don’t have to draw a card off the deck, you can pick one of the cards and use the ability on it. Deciding the best strategy from turn to turn can dictate what you are able to accomplish with your deck. There are other cards which make you and other players discard the indicated card to the middle and replace it with a card from the deck.

However, I did enjoy my plays and it is good enough to be added to my case of travel games I like to carry around in the back of the car.Then each player replaces one card in their line with one of their just-drawn cards and places the replaced card face-up next to the train car deck.

The railcar card you are removing from your line is placed face-up in the centre of the play area next to the draw and discard piles. I do love many card games (including Dominion) but there is something to be said for placing pieces on a board and creating a world there. You can build into cities, which you can develop with Station Expansion cards to increase your victory point total at the end of the game; into remote locations which are worth straight VP; and across the board to interfere with or mooch off of your opponents’ builds. It packs a lot into a small box and has the dubious honour of being one of the few games that all three members of Polyhedron Collider own.You now have the chance to not only expand into cities between the double sided board (Osaka or Tokyo) but to other small cities to give you the most points. I also own Smash Up and AEG has included the same slick-style cards here which aren’t really my preference.
