About this deal

The JOYO Preamp House delivers 9 classic guitar amplifier preamps in one pedal, you can fully control both clean and dirty channels, and save your settings to presets. Depending on what effects I'm running and how much OD / Distortion I'm using, sometimes the output to the house sounds thin since I'm running ampless and not using any of the shitty cab sims in the VL3.

I bought it yesterday and while I'm testing it I've noticed some noises, so I record all 3 outs and all of them produce this surrounding 13KHz noise tone. ALL of them have initially much more bass than any of my tube amps, as well as less extreme high frequencies. Pick up a Joyo Cab Box, I'm pretty sure you will see the massive value in a box that breathes new life into older effects unit. You can change your choices at any time by visiting Cookie preferences, as described in the Cookie notice.I'll post on request some screenshots capturing the Joyo IR's (or any other spectral analysis of the Cab Box).

The Revolution Series of guitar pedals are the 4th generation of guitar effects from JOYO, and have some very cool design features. The simple controls quickly get into your blood, and you can rely on the solid chassis for gigging situations, where you'll also benefit from two durable switches for quick control of most functions.I was hoping this Cab Box IR Loader could enhance an already solid RP360 an add a lot of versatility, and it sure has. Once this program installed, no problem to use it nor to charge external IR's - even if it made me realize than many free IR's are not that good. The Joyo Cab Box features XLR, headphone, MIDI and USB connectivity, so has most bases covered for recording and live scenarios. In pic 7: how using the onboard EQ of the Joyo allows to "match" partly a capture done with the Nux. It’s probably not perceptible within a few milliseconds, like standing a distance from a cabinet but when I can notice it beyond just phase discrepancies, that’s bad! JOYO CAB BOX has more interface, much bigger screen with more buttons compared with rival’s similar products, it’s quite user-friendly. Frequency responses are close (as expected), albeit the Joyo is less precise in the bass / low mid range and brings more noise above 15khz.

Please, note that the 6V6 and EL84 pics are imperfect comparisons since they involve "whole" amps (excited from guitar inputs to loudspeaker output) while the IR loaders model only a tube power section. Quote from: stub on July 13, 2022, 01:20:48 PMCan anyone please tell me how precise the EQ settings are for the CAB BOX? If you’ve been playing electric guitar for a while and using guitar pedals, then you are probably getting pretty up to speed with how each pedal interacts with each other and how to get the “best peda. This one is stereo - but uses factory loaded Cab IR tech - not able to load any Cab IR files by the user. Personally, I think this is a pretty well thought out piece of guitar gear and can see many players getting a lot of use from one.
