About this deal

When I first saw the Let It Be film, I was stunned at how beautiful a song Long and Winding Road actually is with just The Beatles and Preston. Some other tracks are certainly different performances, and Don't Let Me Down replaces Maggie Mae and Dig It. I do have the '87 LIB CD and did have the 2009 LP remaster and, in context, was happy with the sound of both, in context. Not the greatest selection of songs The Beatles ever put together, more of a Beatles for Sale level album than a Revolver level album really, but one with enough classics to deserve its place in The Beatles’ canon. com (also known as Esprit) has been the world's biggest and best seller of premium quality and top condition rare and vintage vinyl records, rare CD's and music memorabilia since 1985 - that's 39 years!

But for some weird reason the producers decided the world needed another version, so we got yet another version with a solo from George Harrison patched in from someplace else.Includes a 12" x 12" 19-page booklet and an additional 7" disc with 20 song-fragments: "Fly On The Wall": "A Unique Insight Into The Beatles At Work In Rehearsel And In The Studio During January 1969". dopo la versione diciamo "normale",pubblicata nel 1970,ecco la versione "nuda e cruda" che è stupenda. But then in the years since its release Paul has finally quit whining about what Phil Spector did to the original Let it Be, so at least there is that. Fly On The Wall" (7" Disc) consists of snippets of conversations and song-fragments as they were recording the album. The impressive thing about it is the only thing going on in the movie while the music is playing is some guy is running around in a graveyard.

Instead of several discs of music from these tapes we should have got, we got 20 minutes of snatches of bits of songs and mumbled conversations that sound like they were assembled by someone with severe ADHD, who after a couple of seconds went “OK, on to something else now”. We already had a never-Spectorized version on Past Masters 2, we had an exquisite alternate version on Anthology 2, and now this odd mix that is just Lennon and guitar. Hell, the album was only 35 minutes total, there was a good 45 minutes of space left on the compact disc, the paltry 20 minutes of “Fly on the Wall” gibberish would have fit easily. And I’m glad I’m not the only one who thinks the original version of “I’ve Got a Feeling” is the best, I agree with you, that whoop does add a lot to the song.Regardless of country of origin all tracks are sung in English, unless otherwise stated in our description. The special featured: a 50-minute documentary of the original Get Back/ Let It Be sessions, including interviews with all four Beatles; [ citation needed] an uninterrupted broadcast of the new Let It Be. I wonder how Eli Wallach felt about being “the ugly” from the title – it’s kind of mean really, I’ve known way uglier guys than Eli Wallach. Paul let’s out a glorious, exhilarating whoop after the instrumental breakdown as the band comes back in, and I do miss that on the LIBN take(s). But you’re right, why has he been replicating the elements that make it unlistenable for all the years since?

Like “I’ve Got a Feeling” – mixing the two versions rather than just using the first take makes this something very different than simply a de-Spectorized Let It Be, and wasn’t that the point to begin with?I would give this a 7 because when I do dial up a Beatles album, there’s a better than average chance it will be this one.
