About this deal

In 1972 David Bowie released the instant classic The Rise and Fall of Ziggy Stardust and The Spiders from Mars—a record without which any Greatest Albums of All Time list is simply incomplete. His career continued to soar with key 70s images like Lou Reed's Transformer, Iggy Pop's Raw Power and Queen's Queen II and many of the Sex Pistols' infamous shots. The closest this world will ever get to a straight-up Bowie autobiography — but who’d ever want anything straight-up from Bowie? Condition - This item is in Excellent condition or better (unless it says otherwise in the above description).

To celebrate this 50th Anniversary the Moonage Daydream book (endorsed by David Bowie and Mick Rocks estate) has been published. My only little gripe is the use of bold text on some of the paragraphs – I felt this wasn’t necessary and spoils the look of some of the pages. Ziggy Stardust blazed briefly but intensely, and I am delighted to see his life and times as a rock’n’roll star immortalised in this book,” Bowie wrote of the first edition. Now, on the 50th anniversary of Bowie’s acclaimed album, The Rise and Fall of Ziggy Stardust and the Spiders from Mars, the book is available again. By using the Web site, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to be bound by the Terms and Conditions.

I would also literally draw out on paper with a crayon or felt tip pen the shape of a solo: the one in 'Moonage Daydream', for instance, started as a flat line that became a fat megaphone-type shape and ended as sprays of disassociated and broken lines. A very consciously created persona by Bowie that was representative of the celebrity cycle of a rockstar.

Once this myth was dispelled, I thought that rock stars had to dress up as women as real women were not allowed to play in Rock Bands. Trying to contain myself, I will say that this is mainly a book of photographs, and excellent they are. Ziggy Stardust blazed briefly but intensely, and I am delighted to see his life and times as a rock’n’roll star immortalised in this book.Born in London, Rock went on to reside in New York City for over 35 years, where he continued to photograph artists such as Lady Gaga and The Killers. He disliked flying and took trains and boats, interacting with others and observing the world around him. Ziggy Stardust blazed briefly but intensely, and I am delighted to see his life and times as a rock'n'roll star immortalised in this book.
