This volume contains stills from the recent movie “Nanny McPhee” but that is its sole redeeming aspect. I would like to have the books and movies someday though to go along with my dream of owning book, movie combos.

The movie is very enjoyable and is very intriguing but I don't think that the book had that much purpose. The entire book reads as if it’s in Emma Thompson’s voice (I would know since I was able to participate in a half-hour interview with Emma Thompson, right? I feel that the movie is more an "inspired by" rather than a "based on", but the movie bill says it's a "based on". Published between 1964 and 1974, these stories are hilarious reminiscences of childhood in the Victorian age.
