Twice bubble wrapped, even wedged smaller pieces of cardboard along the edges of the wrapped vinyl and packing box.

The issue also includes deep dives into all of their records, and interviews with famous friends of the band in groups like Hot Water Music, Fucked Up, Rise Against, Moneen, Boys Night Out, Sum 41, Billy Talent and more. Blending their classic sound with new and forward-thinking textures, they produced Otherness themselves.

As we said yesterday, the 80-page magazine, written by BrooklynVegan editor Andrew Sacher, features a die cut cover with a color-matched AOF Heart Skull logo printed on vellum, and tells the career-spanning story of Alexisonfire, from their formation to their swift rise in popularity to their breakup to their reunion, with deep dives into every album from their 2002 self-titled debut through their 2022 comeback album Otherness.

Their powerful sound is characterized by intricate guitar riffs, thunderous drums, and passionate vocals that convey both vulnerability and aggression. They embraced the influence of grittier bands like their recent tourmates Hot Water Music and Planes Mistaken For Stars--the latter's Gared O'Donnell sings guest lead on vocals on "You Burn First"--they wrote more anthemic choruses than ever, and they had a more direct, structured sound, aided in part by new drummer Jordan Hastings. We shed a tear as we know we'll never get any new releases from Alexisonfire, one of the best post-hardcore bands! Frontman Dallas Green has been busy with his City and Colour project in the intervening years, but perhaps they’re about to make a comeback. However, there is the long-awaited vinyl boxet (Second Version) which includes remastered double black vinyl LPs of each studio album plus a Daggers slipmat and a download voucher for each album.The live album — pressed on "black/white specialty mix" colored wax — features a career-spanning BBC Maida Vale session recorded on June 6th, 2022 on side A and one recorded on November 21st, 2008 with four Crisis songs on side B.
