It is big, colourful, has large grids with different actions and could be entirely replaced by a custom dice, each face of which carries those action spaces. Though in the end, Oskar was the winner with only two lives lost, so he would have won either way even if he had also only had three lives! You could argue, that it is easier to move the covers because of the handles, but then I would argue that you should just make the tiles themselves thicker.

We have recipes to cook at home and review books, toys and games too, and feature the free family events and activities happening across North East England. Each time you get an answer wrong you lose a life, or if you ask a question and it is answered correctly. After making their guess the cover of that square is revealed so everyone can see if they got it right or not. Recently Cheatwell Games asked us to review two of their games so last Friday night that’s exactly what we did. In addition to this there are squares when a player can challenge another player (of their choosing) to state where a particular symbol is around the board.In Baffled, players take it in turns rolling the dice and moving their elephant piece clockwise around the board.

Yet since the actions are mainly ‘guess the fruit, or the number, or the animal, or ask another player to guess the same’, simplifying it would not impact the game in any major way. Everyone now has one minute to look at which tiles are where and memorise as best they can, before they are re-covered and the game begins.If there’s one thing I that I hope everyone can take away from this review, it’s that board-gaming isn’t about owning the most popular or expensive games, it’s about trying new things and spending time with the people you love. Ask squares allow you to ask another player to either name the symbol in a particular location or find the location of a symbol of your choice. It's a fairly simple concept, however throughout the board you are instructed to switch symbol tiles making it harder to remember where they are!

We loved that the instructions has suggestions of how to differentiate this game to make it fair for younger/less able children to join in.
