He appears in a small range of sets released for summer 2023 that are based on the 1989 and 1992 films rather than The Flash. It’s Batman, and while DC has been languishing in the last few years, I’m really glad polybags like 30653 Batman 1992 still exist as cost-effective ways for those on a budget to get their hands on sought-after characters, and it’s not hyperbolic to say that this is one of the best polybags of 2023. Despite no actual LEGO® sets to support the film, Michael Keaton’s Batman is also back in LEGO® form. As of now, it is unclear whether LEGO plans to incorporate it into any future promotional offers related to the Batman license. There’s also a clip on the model, which seems like an errant element, but could possibly hint at more rooftop sections to come featuring more Batman characters, hopefully in this affordable polybag format too. I’m still somewhat in shock that this is also the same minifigure as the one from the Batcave Shadowbox, but LEGO does need to be given credit for not gating an ultra-exclusive version of the 1992 Batman behind an expensive set that a vast majority of fans might not be able to afford.

Notable features about the minifigure include the slight changes that have been made to Batman’s torso, as well as the moulded cape-and-cowl combo that came with the 1989 sets. As such, I’ll neither give it a high (100% because its better than a CMF) or low grade (77% because its only an okay value compared to sets)… I’ll say this polybag has a good value and rate it at 88%. I am fairly certain it is the same Batman minfigure included with the soon to be available "Batbox" set (76252). I’ve already given my thoughts on the Batcave Shadowbox both before actually seeing the physical product and afterwards.Geez, it's been a while since I've been on here, one of the last topics I remember debating was trying to convince someone that the recently retired LOTR sets were a good investment.

From what I can tell in the images, the Shadowbox Batman minifigure is the same as the polybag version.
