About this deal

I had the tendency to overshoot my fader moves, being used to longer throw boards, but I could actually see the short throw as an advantage for fast work once you get your motor reflexes dialed in. The Behringer XENYX 1002B Mixer features 10 Premium Inputs with XENYX Preamps, British EQ and Optional Battery Operation.

Plus, you can connect an external effects device to the FX Send, if you wish to add reverb, delay or chorus, etc. The problems I had with mixers of this ilk were power (they use a good deal on AC--50 watts) if you are trying to use an invertor w/ a battery, and that the ph mic power is 23vdc when the mixer is on AC and much lower when it is on its batteries. I would honestly be surprised if you could even fit 3 DRV134's into a 302 chassis, as it is usually pretty packed tight in there, then there is the issue of power. If you had done so, you would have seen that the 1/4" jacks are labelled L and R, which would suggest that they are for a stereo source.

This is very important for live broadcasting, where you want to hear any music, jingles or pre-recorded content through the speakers, but not the microphones.

the Software, which may include patches, bug fixes, updates, upgrades, and other modifications ("Updates"). A gazillion uses for this type of mixer, especially with the quality channel faders and EQ,stereo channel in,etc. I've now had the chance to have a good look at the little mixer, I have also given up on trying to find any tech info, and what little I did find was Wrong! Will definitely keep updating this thread with progress and my thoughts / feedback as I start to dig into it.
