My only regret is that I wish I'd bought this first, before I wasted time end effort with cheaper ones. After assembly and a quick read of the operation manual, a bit of a novelty this for man, I setup and attacked the front lawn. Well, I think it does an amazing job, and as mentioned, on my lawn, after about 4 passes, the box is full of moss.

If you cut the lawn short then the settings on the front wheels come into play and then you can rake or scarify right down to setting number 1 and even leave grooves in the ground to re-seed. Many people have mentioned the size of the collection box and whilst I agree, it fills quickly, it proves how efficient this machine is. Moss comes up easier than grass but the machine does not pick out the moss with delicate tongs, it uses a set of blades attached to a spinny death wheel.

Although it "folds away for convenient storage" when not in use it will still occupy at least as much space as the box it arrives in - which is worth considering if you are short of space. They say the grass box is a good size, the holding container is sufficient, and the collection box is compact. It also does a good job of levelling the lawn if there are any bumps (although it won’t fill holes because it’s not magic) and when used around April, I am guessing that by mid-May the lawn will be better than it has ever been. In my review of the Bosch ALR 900, I found that the 10 Double Steel Tines make it a great choice for removing dead grass and other debris from your lawn.

The light weight (10kg), small size and fold away handles make this lawn rake excellent for smaller lawns or lawns with smaller strips of grass.
