The slide-out hair trimmer is mediocre at best, but that’s the case with all Braun electric razors with this type of trimmer. Once you placed the razor correctly in the cleaning unit (confirmed by a beep sound), it will immediately begin to charge it (without actually starting the cleaning cycle). And unsurprisingly, the question on everyone’s mind was of course whether this was the successor of the Series 7.

He also has a developmental disability that makes it very difficult for him to hold a razor straight to his face.

The same is true with regards to closeness, both the Series 8 and 9 being similar, but again with a slight advantage for the Series 9/Series 9 Pro. Important update: Braun released a new Series 5 model in 2020, but just like the Series 7, it is a downgrade compared to the previous Series 5 referenced in this article. Also, when the trimmer is retracted, the blades won’t shear against each other when you switch the shaver on.
