After a long walk from the riverbank, Elayne and Nynaeve arrive in Salidar and are questioned thoroughly. Then there’s that scene in which Elayne fantasizes (italics here because it could have been a thought but I read it as fantasizing) about linking Rand as a warder.Nynaeve, afraid that Rand will kill Moghedien if he learns her identity, banishes the connecting part of the a’dam but retains the rest. It is while the women are in the circus that we get a very interesting look at the Prophet Masema, and how someone can take a simple belief (in this case that the Dragon Reborn will save the world) and use it to cause chaos.

It’s worth noting, I think, that I’ve been in a fairly significant (for me) reading funk the last few months and I really don’t know why or quite how to kick myself out of it. Vultures and ravens and flies together could not really have made the sunlight dimmer, yet it seemed so. Nynaeve is an impressive individual but I think her being made a Wisdom from an early age has caused her to grow a big head. He halted the townspeople, assured the farmer that the expenses of his loss will be covered, and took Min, Siuan, and Leane in his service as house servants.Am thoroughly enjoying reliving the adventures of Rand, Egwene, Nyneve, Matt, Perrin, Elayne and many others. My favorite part of the novel, of course, was when Egwene knocked her down a notch while in Tel’aran’rhiod. I don't ask to usurp your authority - yet I do not want to waste men because you do not understand war.
