About this deal

Aromas of honey and dry apricot on the nose, followed by Kaffir lime and mango on the palate, complemented by subtle herbal notes and dried tobacco. Today, the Glenfarclas spirit still lives strong and continues in family ownership under the direction of 5th generation owner, John Grant.

A Whisky you never want to end and it very nearly doesn’t, the finish is exquisite with a real taste of burnt chocolate at the back of your mouth. Now presented with a box designed as an homage to the unmistakable red door of the Glenfarclas warehouse. Dark and complex, the whisky gives notes of toffee and muscovado sugar, rich in wood spice with hints of tobacco. We have an extensive selection of fine and rare single malts from Scotland’s most respected distilleries. This single malt highlights the beginning of a new era as Glenfarclas now marks 180 years of production since its establishment in 1836.

This Glenfarclas is one of the oldest malts in the Glenfarclas range that is still regularly bottled.

There it is combined with the finest malted barley, twice distilled in traditional, direct fired, copper pot stills and only the lightest and best fractions of alcohol are collected to be filled into the finest Spanish Sherry oak casks and lie maturing over many years. If you require more information or in-depth condition report please do not hesitate in contacting us and we will assist you in any way we can. The red doors include a glossy metallic 30 year old age statement with Glenfarclas Warehouse stencilling. There, it is combined with the finest malted barley, twice distilled in traditional, direct fired, copper pot stills and only the lightest and best fractions of alcohol are collected, two thirds to be filled into the finest Spanish Sherry oak casks and one third into plain oak casks in which to lie maturing over many years. The distillery has six stills which are the largest on Speyside and are heated directly by gas burners.

A bit of an antique this from the 1980's, a old flask style release of Glenfarclas 25 year old with a screw top! A delightful texture and flavour on the palate, it finds itself among some of the best truly rich and indulgent whiskies. Fruity with cherry candy, which tastes a bit new school at the same time, but then develops a depth that is really unbelievable.

In Bond storage is facilitated at Octavian and London City Bond – Dinton, both in Wiltshire and both ex MOD storage depots. The distillery has six stills which are the largest on Speyside and are heated directly by gas burners.
