About this deal

This isn’t nauseating post-modernism but at science’s core – the dual reality springing from both quantum mechanics and relativity killed off the predictable clockwork universe. So, as little 24 year old white girl me sat in rooms with half the male executives of an Arab TV station working on the creative for their idents… a scenario that a casual observer might suggest really shouldn’t work, I was learning about the power of mindset. It’s where I can release negativity and “fill my cup” with cheers of affirmation and visualize my future being created, achieved and already behind me.

When I’ve completed these ritual actions, along with the visualizations, I should be well on my way to achieving the magical mindset. Generally, when it is time to make a decision, you focus on the outcome in a negative way (like it can go wrong). While it was a daily practice to upgrade these thoughts, words and actions, along with my daily Buddhist practice, it was 100,000% worth it. In this book, Preeti Shenoy gives you a set of principles for every area of life, designed to help us shift our perspective from hopelessness to hope, from despondency to joy, from cynicism to belief – a belief that change is coming, and things are not as bad as they seem. We do science students a disservice by only teaching the methodical approach starting with observation.I really like the sound of this book and think it will be helpful for me in my continued journey in a positive mindset. Action seems to follow feeling, but really action and feeling go together; and by regulating the action, which is under the more direct control of the will, we can indirectly regulate the feeling, which is not.

Your imagination is doing a wonderful job of writing in all the possible bad endings to this story… You are in a state of negative mindset and catastrophising the outcomes. The book is a capsule of wisdom written exclusively from the personal experiences and experiments with life, than from theories as seen from usual self-help books. As you grow those mindset muscles you are going to need to be prepared to be resilient and keep at it. Thus the sovereign voluntary path to cheerfulness, if our spontaneous cheerfulness be lost, is to sit up cheerfully, to look round cheerfully, and to act and speak as if cheerfulness were already there.

The Magic Mindset is motivating and inspiring self-help book that covers many topics and life situations with many tips and suggestions. For some like me the contents of the book may not be entirely new but there being so much to remember, this book is a quick revision.
