About this deal

Contrast is very good, with deep blacks that exhibit a fair amount of shadow detail with minimal crushing. With Sam Raimi's horror-comedy Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, the MCU stepped into a much larger realm of different genres instead of sticking with the same formulaic product that everyone has come to love and respect from Marvel. The CGI mostly blends with the live action elements, although a few sequences certainly stood out, including the opening moments of Michael standing outside of a cave filled with bats. Michael Keaton is crowbarred in for a couple of cameos setting up a sequel that can only improve on this scruffy introduction to a dark antihero.

The surround mix utilizes the subwoofer to accentuate the action-based sequences which feature a rich low end. For the week that ended on June 25th, Sony Pictures Home Entertainment's Morbius edged out Universal Pictures Home Entertainment's new release The Bad Guys to top the Blu-ray-only and overall packaged media charts for the second week in a row.In listening to the Dolby Atmos mix I found it to be of the active variety that made steady use of the platform. It falls into the trap of some [Green Lantern, X Men Origins Wolverine, the 2015 Fantastic Four spring to mind] of getting a little too much plot and exposition in there. If this movie was even a little bit better and overseen by Kevin Feige, I would have more glowing things to say about it, as would everyone else, and we would have a lenticular steelbook a la Deadpool. default audio track (Dolby Atmos is available on the 4K UHD Blu-ray, which was not available for review).

Sound effects whiz by all around the sound stage while the score is offered an abundance of aural authority. concerned: it's competently put together, the acting in general is OK, the visual effects are passable, score and editing are fine. But was this a case of a studio tinkering with their product to the point of nearly killing it prior to its release?

It's not burning your money; it's overpaying for an overall mediocre product because the packaging is beyond excellent, and on a surface level at least the product/motion picture itself looks and feels stunning, even if the plot, weird VFX, nonsensical music choices and unnecessary cameo at the end make it a middling experience story-wise.One of the most compelling and conflicted characters in Sony Pictures Universe of Marvel Characters comes to the big screen as Oscar® winner Jared Leto transforms into the enigmatic antihero Michael Morbius, in Morbius. Subtitle options include English, English SDH, Cantonese, Chinese (Simplified), Chinese (Traditional), French, Korean, Portuguese, Spanish, and Thai. Sony’s 1080p Blu-ray release looks great, with bold and vivid colors without appearing over-saturated.

It should also be noted that an additional featurette mentioned in the press release, Living Vampire from Comics to Screen, appears to have been nixed (or simply retitled). It is his ties to Spider-Man that allowed Sony Pictures to develop this origin film (similar to Venom). That being said, what the end result came to be was something even better than anyone could imagine - a premiere epic cult film that will live on in midnight showings for a long time.Lights, Camera, Action (1080p; 5:26): Fairly standard EPK behind the scenes piece on making the film. Morbius looks excellent in both 1080p and Ultra HD, however, the Ultra HD rendering is noticeably a cut above. As far as origin stories go Morbius fails to make the grade when compared to the better films in the Marvel Cinematic canon.
