Barra Island Dark Rum is rich and full of island maritime notes and flavour by utilising the key botanical, carrageen seaweed, which the brand is famed for, hand-harvested from the shores of Barra. The first batch of gin was distilled in August 2017 and the distillery will be releasing some island whisky in the near future.

The small, family run company owned by Katie and Michael Morrison who had a dream to create a future for their family on their island home. They have now extended their reach, and delivered an equally interesting dark rum, which also uses Carageen as a botanical.

The aroma carries the presence of coconut and clove to start, shortly followed by a crisp maritime freshness.
