I never leave reviews but, was so compelled to do so, as my 4 year old son can not put this book down! The kids love the fact things, that often would get them into trouble become acceptable in this book, as long as its not giving them ideas ! Packed with flaps to open and stunning paper-engineering, each page generates a sense of wonder and excitement for the reader, as they uncover each ‘beautiful oops’ created from the mishaps. Beautiful Oops is a fun, wonderful book that teaches children that mistakes can be opportunities for creativity. This book helped him realize that he can make something beautiful from accidents and that mistakes are ok.

Really fun idea but not sure of who its audience is meant to be -not sophisticated enough for adults and too many parts to destroy for little ones! Kids see firsthand as they go through the book that any smudge, smear or stain can lead to something absolutely marvellous - with a little imagination. is filled with folded, crumpled, die-cut, and lift-the-flap pages that will challenge the reader’s sense of play. A celebration of creative thinking, Saltzberg's small-format book encourages readers to view mistakes not as failures but opportunities. He lectured in China and Russia through a cultural exchange program through the United States State Department.Various spills and blobs are transformed into animals, a crumpled piece of paper becomes wool for a sheep, and in the book's standout scene, a panel with a hole in the center telescopes outward, accordion-style, to reveal a tiny creature way at the bottom.

This would be a great book to use in my Kindergarten classroom where students are sometimes fearful of completing work because they are worries they will make a mistake. The copy we have was given to us as a gift and we loved it so much, we bought this one to give as a gift.
