We are absolutely delighted to be a featured landmark on the Cotswolds edition of Monopoly and a very big thank you to everyone who voted for us to appear in the game. At the time of the announcement the public was invited to send in general nominations and suggestions for tokens, landmarks and organisations to feature in the game. The Cotswold Journal is one of over 30 local organisations, landmarks and tokens to feature in the new edition, produced by Winning Moves UK. I’d encourage everyone in the Cotswolds to make suggestions on what they would like to see in the game so that we can create a board that represents the entire district.

Broadway Tower gets to land on ’Mayfair’, the board’s leading spot, with Sudeley Castle on ‘Park Lane’, the next highest ranked square and one half of the top ranked set. The range of ‘Cotswold’ hiking boots and wellingtons is set to join other famous Cotswold landmarks in the area including Broadway Tower, Sudeley Castle and Tewkesbury Abbey. After it was revealed that the Cotswolds is getting its very own official Monopoly game, three Cotswolds charities are being sought to feature on the new Cotswolds Monopoly board.

Cotswold Monopoly was launched at a prestigious unveiling event at Sudeley Castle, Cheltenham by Mr Monopoly . A new Cotswolds version of Monopoly might not be ready to cause family rows this Christmas, but it will be on sale for spring 2022.After some years of constant travelling, she tucked away her passport and concentrated on business writing, co-founding a successful regional business magazine. With the Cotswolds getting its very own version of Monopoly, three local charities have the chance to be featured on the Community Chest spaces on the board. In total more than 30 Cotswold landmarks feature in the new edition of the game, including the Cotswold Journal, which occupies one of the Chance card places on the board.
