there’s not even that many sex scenes either and the ones that there are are missing something, idk what, but they’re missing something. I still was hooked to this one, and seeing as I read so much, I tend to find it hard to find books that I devour and can’t stop thinking about. The first half of the book is a bit of a slow burn as we're introduced to the main characters: Tiernan, Jake, Noah and Kaleb.

And while I definitely respect and understand those limits, I also encourage anyone on the fence to give this a try if they feel so inclined. As lines begin to blur and boundaries start to get crossed, Tiernan finds herself at a crossroad where emotions are clawing at her heart and demanding to be set free. he’s only part of the story when he’s fucking tiernan and then once that’s over, it’s bye-bye jake-y jake. It could be a weird thought her being with an uncle she’s never met and “cousins” she’s never known.i don’t ship them necessarily, but i feel like he was a good friend to her and that was a relationship that didn’t seem entirely awful all the time. and if you count the fire and fights and kaleb disappearing into the woods and all of that, i don’t even count that as things happening because it was all so random and made absolutely no sense whatsoever.

Open all the windows and doors of your mind before you start cause you'll be Breathless soon, gasping, groaning, moaning and you'll need to stop and take deep breaths often. If you're convinced that the boundary-pushing nature of this book is not your thing, I completely understand and respect that. pretty much the only thing i liked about tiernan was her love for the animals, so there was that ig. There are elements in here that are just hard limits for some people - which I understand and respect. Not only that but the lines of consent are really blurry and her love interests act like fucking bullies in this book.There’s such depth to these characters and it’s clear that there’s a lot of pain, anger and resentment in their histories that they’ve kept with them until now.
