From the description, it sounded more like dark fantasy, but in practice, it's more like a romance novel of the cheesiest variety, only replace the generic pirate/naughty lord/auto mechanic human hunk with a vampire hunk. The Brotherhood itself was fun to get to know if even all of their names are completely ridiculous: Wrath, Rhage, Zadist, Vishous, Phury, and Tohrment. After Darius' death, Wrath felt he needed to visit Beth at her apartment, which she thought was a dream.The writing - This is VERY easy to read :) Well, at least for me :) I love the way they talk, and swear, and act. I always get excited when the first book of a new series is this good because it makes me hopefully optimistic that further books on this series will be equally good. Dark lover only gives you a small sample of what's to come in the rest of the series so be prepared to spend, spend, spend until you have bought each and every book!
