About this deal

This is where you take small strips or slivers of reclaimed floorboards and hammer them gently into the gaps. I was thinking of just putting a fine silicone bead around the whole room (where the skirting meets the floor) and caulking the top, but just a bit worried that this could then stop the laminate from moving? Great and quite straightforward to use with a combination of their roller tool provided and a flat head screwdriver, so you can hold and stretch it slightly to help it fit. Add all these tiny gaps together and you could find that the spaces between your floorboards add up to the size of an open window.

The gaps in between stripped floorboards may add up to the size of a small window; therefore draught-proofing your floor is essential and can shed pounds from your energy bill, paying for itself in less than 12 months. So you might start off using the thin Draughtex (for gaps up to 3mm), then switch to standard (2-7mm) when the gap gets wider, then revert to thin again. I think ply is worthwhile if you are putting down vinyl flooring or "lino" otherwise the edge board and gaps will cause wear lines. Even rooms that have carpet and underlay fitted often have gaps between the skirting board and the floor that allow significant heat to be lost. This will allow any moisture getting on the timber to evaporate but stop any drafts from blowing through and taking your warm air away .

I'm hoping to get some advice from you all and hopefully will be able to give advice based on my experiences. This gap filler is easy and quick to push between the floorboards, however as gaps between floorboards tend to be inconsistent in size you will need to make sure you purchase various thicknesses and during application switch from one thickness to the other as the gap size changes.

I myself have pondered this, and have seen a squahy foam cord that is made from the material that expanding ear plugs are made from that can be squashed and fitted into the gap, where it will expand filling the gap. Below we list the branches disappearing and what the alternatives are if you still want face-to-face banking. This technique involves purchasing a specialist draught-proofing material, something like a thin foam board or matting that you insert between the boards. early on in my former life before I got a conscience I'm afraid I too was a floorboard butcher but, when I got older and worked for myself and didn't have the same time pressures from an impatient boss, I took greater care when lifting boards.

Its flexible properties allow DraughtEx to be applied to a wide range of gaps that will be completely sealed.
