Good, because the Sony carry bag should assist you with just that by covering the MDR-1AM2 to safekeep it against any likely damage. I couldn’t put finger on it… but I finally have the best way to describe these MDR-1AM2’s… They sound like how you want the NDH20’s to sound like with the drivers able to resolve more freely. The MDR-1AM2 sticks to that tuning, and for listeners who like that character, the 1AM2 achieves beautifully. I intend to replace the pads with ones made from alcantara (found ones that fit) to solve this problem and maybe tame the very boomy bass at the same time.

After Sony released the Sony MDR-1AM, we definitely wanted to get our hands on it to do a full comprehensive review of the headphones and test out the features and overall see the quality of these headphones.
