after reading other reviews i feel lucky mine lasted as long as it did but sure enough one day it randomly stopped working, totally dead, not happy as this wasn't exactly a cheap fan, fair enough it lasted a few months before it failed but i expected alot more for the money, i have another fan that is the same brand as this one but a different type and has been working for over a year with no issues, all i can say is avoid this model. The hook on the Monkey Fan 16w means it cannot fall off of vertical poles and it stays right where you want it. The Monkey Fan was designed for use in tents with poles measuring 16-21mm but with a little hook bending this can be used in tents with 25mm poles.
The 2 speed setting has always been strange on these, 1 speed on one side, off in the centre and 2 speed on the other side.
