A car chase is a great, almost necessary feature of any great action story, and here it’s a curious scene to be found paired with the bus game in the same volume. This is the first volume where Aso seems like he may not have a clear path ahead for his parallel world.

Arisu’s friends had helped him to escape, only to encounter the new leader of the Beach, Aguna, who has beaten Arisu to near death. A high school girl, Ariju Kojima, wakes up one morning in Kyoto, where it seems as if decades have passed without a soul.

The third and last OVA episode was bundled with the limited edition of the 14th volume of the manga on February 18, 2015. is also fast-paced, gory, and good but with a darkly humorous bent that contrasts nicely with the grim seriousness of this series.

His name was never revealed in the Netflix series, in which after many attempts by Arisu and his friends, he is shot and killed by Aguni in a final struggle. A live-action series, produced by Netflix and directed by Shinsuke Satō, premiered worldwide in December 2020.

Arisu and Chota are often immature and do not try at school, whilst Karube manages a bar and urges the two to get their lives together.
