The day this arrived I sprayed on a test strip and left it on my bedside table, it scented the whole room for 2 days. sprays, even 2 half sprays is all you will need for most occasions and I wouldn’t argue if some one said only 1 spray for certain occasions, one on chest/front of neck and one on back of neck or one on each side of neck. Never smelled an old batch of Aventus, but I do have a sample of a newer one and I have to say I prefer that over this.Id stay away from the EDP and Parfum version, they open slightly smoother than the EDT but the performance was NOT there. This version still has the artificial citrus note, which is more pronounced than in the toilette version, and this citrus note lasts until the end. Choked out my peers in the office at 10am… EDT was my most complimented fragrance the last two years. So for those who like that side of the EDT (and you don't have issues with it's synthetic nature), just stick with the EDT.

I suppose that it depends on how much the opening of the EDT bothers you, and whether you enjoy the ruggedness of the EDT. It smells fine but the hype you mentioned is been gone for a while and most people are done with it and moved on.Excellent budget perfume, the scent is not chemical, as for longevity, as soon as I received it (15:00), I applied it to my wrist, and the next morning the scent was still noticeable. There is one more thing that I think needs to be mentioned, and that may run counter to what other people on here appear to have experienced, but that's what I have experienced: this edition does not last as long as the EDT. When they found me sniffing this thing from my forearm I immediately got my first compliment out of the box. Great value , well see how long it lasts, but I am so happy with Un Told that I gave this one a try, not disappointed at all so far.
