About this deal

Holder was utter hero perfection--protective, sexy, sensitive, with a very deep and unique way of thinking. Sky, a senior in high school, meets Dean Holder, a guy with a promiscuous reputation that rivals her own. the relationship was so inconveniently timed and felt gross because of all the trauma that was happening around it. If it was anyone other than our heroine who made out with boys aka the popular hot girl diva of the highschool then she probably would have been labelled a slut by now. However, as he begins to uncover the truth about his own past, he realizes that he may have a chance to win Sky back.

Not because he wants to come up with the perfect answer but because he's analyzing the question from so many different angles and giving it the though it deserves so that when he does answer his response is the absolute perfect thing to say at the exact perfect time. The series is made up of four books, each of which builds upon the previous one to create a story that is full of heart, hope, and healing. it either demonizes trauma and other things that people cannot control or it serves to make people with these things seem "other" and not a well rounded, fully fleshed out individual. However, she soon discovers that Holder’s erratic and unpredictable behavior comes with a very good explanation.i just stumbled across this book in my "read" shelf and saw I gave it 4 stars, which I immediately changed because now, several months later, all I can think about is how badly this book was written instead of the actual good parts. I don't understand why anytime he steps within a foot of my personal space, it sucks the breath out of me. with this, my first time around i was so enamoured by the whole ‘boy next door’ and the romance of loving someone since you were a child.

Seems ironic that a book entitled Hopeless would lead me to become so incredibly and utterly hopeful.the plot twist is incredible and this book had me all giddy and kicking my feet at some parts and sobbing at others. And I just smiled and nodded my head because I know that if there's one thing in life you can never have less of. This novel brings you right back to High School and makes you remember the best of times and the worst of times.

Going much further into the storyline would be spoiling too much, but let me tell you, it's not like anything you could expect. What prevented me from really enjoying Hopeless is not so much the YA genre or the predictability of the story, that the over use of tragic/traumatic events. She has been home schooled her entire life and decides she wants to go to public school for her senior year of high school with her friend Six.

I learnt that sometimes the most simple questions are the ones that are most difficult to answer in life. But then she runs into Dean Holder - messy brown hair, smouldering blue eyes, and a temper straight out of Fight Club, someone who Sky is determined to avoid. Sometimes you just have to choose between a bunch of wrong choices and pick the one which feels the least wrong. The third book in the series, Finding Cinderella, is a novella that tells the story of Daniel and Six. It's a story about how when they go on a date innocently playing Dinner Quest unaware that soon they'll embark on a life quest which will change everything.
